Lani thought she's already in love--with Rick, her fiance. And they were going to be married very soon.

But this belief disintegrated after she meets Rick's good friend Connor--who's going to be their Bestman! The first time is like lightning striking through her heart. Not only does she start thinking about him, she can't stop thinking about him. Suddenly, her times with Rick are being dominated by Connor's presence. Everything she once felt for Rick, she now feels for Connor more than a hundred times. What's worse, Connor feels it, too! They are in panic. They certainly never wanted to hurt Rick, but desiring each other was so powerful they couldn't deny it from each other, even when they could at least held those feelings in bay.

What the hell was happening? Lani seeks advice from her grandmother who always, always, has an answer.

And that's when she first learns about the phenomena of the Twin Flames--being struck by lightning. Basically, it is what soul mates feel when they finally meet each other.

EXCERPT
"What was that earlier at the park?" he demanded. "I know you felt it, too. I could tell."

"I-I don't know what you're..." she began. But the look on his handsome face told her to shut up. She knew she would just be lying and that he knew it, too.

He sighed deeply. "Now, Rick's my friend, maybe even my best friend, and you're going to be his wife." A look of anguish coupled with desire entered his face and it almost brokeher heart. "But right there and then, all I knew is that I wanted you so fucking bad. I wanted to kiss you and lay you back on that picnic table and run my hands all over your body!"

Lani took a deep, trembling breath."Yes, Connor. I did feel something at the park. It was pretty much what you just described. And, no, I don't know what it was. That's why I was acting so weird yesterday. I felt it as soon as I shook hands with you. It's not something I can explain. But it's something we need to, I don't know, forget about?" She felt pain in her heart, which was deeply confusing. How could she feel something this deeply for someone she'd just met? "I just don't know, Connor. This is so confusing for me, too. There was no precedence for this. I have never gone through something like this before... even with Rick."

There was a moment when it was like he was going to kiss her just for what she'd admitted...

Sandra Ross

The moment Sandra Ross held her first romance novel when she was ten, she knew she was going to write romance. At thirty now, a prolific reader and a freelance writer, she's since then expanded her preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres—paranormal , fantasy, sci-fi even, and erotica. She loves challenging herself and would write on a dare. On a normal day, she would be found in her herb garden collecting spices for her kitchen or ingredients for her potions; in her huge eclectic Provencal kitchen with the big modern oven cooking pots and pans of food for her family of one husband and three kids (an ardent daughter and two boisterous sons) that'll probably last for weeks; in her library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an e-reader in her hands as she reads the latest erotic hit; or scribbling pages upon pages of different erotic lifestyles, searching for the one that feels like it was inspired by just the right mix of passion, story line, and sex. Aside from these activities, the rest of the time she'd be found in front of her laptop typing the latest Sandra Ross concoction for her readers.

    Chapter One

WAS HE EVER going to get here, Lani wondered.

She had been waiting for Rick, her fiance, to get to her house. Ever since he had taken that job in Savannah ten months ago, they only saw each other on weekends and holidays. Planning a wedding without the input of the groom wasn't exactly a simple thing to do, so she had to spend a large part of the weekends with him going over the latest arrangements. Rick had been amenable to nearly everything she had chosen, though, so it wasn't as difficult as it could have been. The only thing Lani hadn't discussed with him was her wedding dress, and that was for obvious reasons.

Now, she sat anxiously on her front porch and watched for Rick's familiar car to turn down the street. She was really going to hate leaving this house. It was an older Victorian-style home and she loved every square foot of it.

But you have to go where your husband is, right?

The job he had received was a great one, so she couldn't actually ask him to leave and come back here. Additionally, he was going to let her take a little time off to get settled and find the perfect place to open her bookshop. That had always been her dream-to own a bookshop rather than simply manage one.

As Lani ran through her mind all the things she would have in her own bookshop she noticed a car turning onto the street. Was it Rick?

    Yes! He was finally here!

He parked in front of her house and exited the driver's side. She leaped up from her chair on the porch and ran down the steps to greet him on the sidewalk. Practically jumping into his arms, she greeted him with a very impressive kiss. He returned her kiss just as enthusiastically when there was a slight throat-clearing noise from behind them.

Lani's eyes flew open and she broke the kiss to peer around Rick's arm.

She set eyes on one of the most beautiful men she had ever seen in her life. In fact, he was so breathtakingly gorgeous that she was grateful to have Rick's arms still around her or she would have literally sank to the ground.

What on earth was wrong with her?

    And who was this man?

Oh, I'm sorry. I'm being rude, Rick said with a bit of a laugh. This is Connor, my friend I talk about all the time. He's going to be my best man. Connor, this is Lani, the love of my life.

    Hi, Lani, Connor
