About this ebook

Planes of the Heavenworld is based on the author’s decades long study with California mentor and master teacher Mary Dies Weddell, one of the translators of the Dead Sea Scrolls, whose extensive knowledge of ancient languages, esoteric truth and inspired guidance was beneficial to thousands in America and abroad.

As the ancients knew, every Plane of the etheric Heavenworld has many temples in which are halls of learning and testing areas where, guided by heavenly teachers, we are privileged to examine and evaluate our lives. Author Rejaunier points out it is not necessary to have an Earth teacher to do this, but that everyone who so desires can, with the assistance of a heavenly guide, visit the Planes in their sleep and reap rich rewards both here and hereafter.

Jeanne Rejaunier asks and answers questions such as: what happens after the silver cord is severed at death? Where does the soul go and what does it undergo? Strengthening our connection to the Afterlife; interacting ties with our heavenly helpers; how many Planes are there? Temples and Halls of Learning on the Other Side; the Animal Kingdom; Children’s Land; the Suicide Plane; war and accident victims; hell is not eternal; earthbound souls; color, meditation and prayer; breaking old molds; the lions along the way; ongoing life after life; and much more.

Planes of the Heavenworld examines the course of the discarnate from when the silver cord is severed at death, to its journey to the River of Life, to seven days in Restland; the Mirror of Life, tests in the Examining Field and beyond. In engrossing Symposium style, Rejaunier exposes the reader to Mary Weddell’s unforgettable Friday classes in Pasadena, California, to the nightwork Mary's students experienced, and how our two worlds are inexorably linked.
Planes of the Heavenworld, first in a series, includes experiences from Mary's students' nightwork up to the 5th Plane. Future books in the series will take the reader beyond the 5th Plane.

In PLANES OF THE HEAVENWORLD, Author Jeanne Rejaunier examines life between two worlds, showing how our physical existence on Earth and the invisible realms beyond our planet are intricately interconnected, and how visiting the Planes of the Heavenworld in our sleep at night both prepares us for the Afterlife and enriches our present lives in the here and now.

Contact with the two worlds in soul travel was an accepted reality for the ancients. Indians, Tibetans, Persians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Greek esotericists and early Christians all recognized that when human consciousness is focused on the inner planes in sleep, the liberated soul is free to commune with its own nature, partaking of the invisible world. As Author Rejaunier points out, death is not extinction – we live on in the heavenly realms: For in my Father’s house are many mansions. The wonderful message of this book is that right now, as we are living here on earth, we can contact that other world every night as we sleep.

To awaken is the real purpose of living on Earth, to expand our awareness. As the ancients knew, every Plane of the etheric Heavenworld has many temples in which are halls of learning and testing areas where, guided by heavenly teachers, we are privileged to examine and evaluate our lives. There, as seekers of truth, we see ourselves clearly through mirrors in which we are shown our faults and mistakes, how to make changes and improve our lives to reach the next level in our ongoing development. Tests on the spiritual Plane precede parallel ones in the physical world, and are a means of unfolding consciousness, enabling us to grow in wisdom and understanding.

Mary Weddell taught 4th dimensional consciousness, living in eternity now, and always impressed her students that it’s one world without end, amen, that those who have left us are as close as our own hands and feet. As the invisible world is everyone’s true home, Mary emphasized that now, while we’re living on Earth, is the time to become acquainted with it, to be on familiar ground when we arrive following the transition of death. Visiting the Planes now enables us to strengthen ties to that world to which we are eternally linked, and to reunite with loved ones who have preceded us to the Afterlife. Author Rejaunier points out that it is not necessary to have an Earth teacher to do this, but that everyone who so desires can, with the assistance of a heavenly guide, visit the Planes in their sleep and reap rich rewards both here and hereafter.

Jeanne 1Rejaunier asks and answers questions such as:

What happens after the silver cord is severed at death?

Where does the soul go and what does it undergo after life?

How can we strengthen our connection to the Afterlife by accessing it now?

Who are our heavenly helpers and how can we interact with them?

    How many Planes are there?

Which planes should we be familiar with?

Temples and Halls of Learning on the Other Side

    The Animal Kingdom

    Children’s Land

    The Suicide Plane

    War and accident victims

    Earthbound souls

Hell and Purgatory are not eternal

    Color, meditation and prayer

Breaking old molds and the lions along the way

    Graduation from Earth

    Ongoing life after life

    And much more.

PLANES OF THE HEAVENWORLD examines the course of the discarnate from when the silver cord is severed at death, to its journey to the River of Life and beyond; to seven days in Restland; Segregation, the Mirror of Life, tests the soul undergoes in the Examining Fields; and the plane the soul eventually gravitates to.

In multi-character Symposium style, Jeanne Rejaunier exposes the reader to Mary Weddell’s unforgettable Friday classes in Pasadena, California, to the nightwork Mary's students experienced, and how our two worlds are inexorably linked.

PLANES OF THE HEAVENWORLD, first in a series, includes experiences from Mary's students' nightwork up to the 5th Plane. Future books in the series will take the reader beyond the 5th Plane.

    Introduction

The Planes of the Heavenworld, manifold in number, is where we will all go after we pass from this life and leave the Earth. To both prepare ourselves for our future journey and enrich the present as well, we can visit the Planes every night of our lives here on Earth. That is exactly what some fifty or more of us did in Mary Dies Weddell’s Planes of the Heavenworld classes in Pasadena, CA, during the years Mary taught us in the1960s and 70's, and what we are still doing today, long after Mary’s passing.

Mary always said if you’re going on a trip, wouldn’t you want to know something about the place where you’re going before you leave? The Planes of the Heavenworld is where our souls existed before we came into this life and where we will go when we depart the Earth. We ought to become acquainted with those Planes now, while we are here. And we can. Anyone can. Everyone can.

More than merely becoming acquainted with the Heavenworld, going to the Planes at night during sleep enables us to gain priceless insight into ourselves. For those who have heard the call and truly desire ongoing spiritual development, it is a gift and a blessing to learn from the heavenly teachers and bring back knowledge acquired in the temples of the Other Side to our daily living. The actual existence of what some might call supernatural around us, we know, is entirely natural.

Lest anyone doubt, the absolute certainty of a future state of being following the body’s passage in death, is revealed as truth when one visits the Planes of the Heavenworld.

    That was Mary Weddell’s message.

Chapter One - Reunion with Carmen and On to Pasadena

Beginning in 1966, I was privileged to be part of an unusual spiritual group taught by a remarkable teacher, Mary Dies Weddell (1886-1991). For several years, we met every Friday evening in Pasadena, California and later in Santa Monica. There were some 50 to 60 of us in Mary’s class, known as Planes of the Heavenworld, sometimes abbreviated to The Planes. The basic foundation for the Planes teaching, a requirement for entry into the class, was Mary’s unique Creative Color Analysis course, taught Tuesday evenings by her assistant, Miriam B. Willis (1895- 1988), which I also attended faithfully throughout the years.

I stumbled fortuitously on the Pasadena classes quite by accident. While attending a lecture on Sanskrit at Los Angeles’ East-West Cultural Center one night, a New York actress friend, Carmen Austin and I spotted each other in the audience. One television year, Carmen and I had been two of the five Jackie Gleason Away We Go Girls who introduced Jackie to the nation’s audience at the top of the show, did skits with the master comedian, and performed live commercials on the CBS weekly Gleason shows, broadcast from the Ziegfeld Theatre on 6th Avenue, Manhattan. An exotic dark-haired beauty, Carmen embodied the intriguing look that had doubtless inspired Jackie to choose her from among hundreds of candidates: she was tall and willowy, part Chinese, part Spanish, part Filipina, and spoke with a pronounced British accent. I recall she was a huge dog lover (though I don’t believe Jackie ever knew about that). Even though I had shared a season of wardrobe fittings, rehearsals, parties, publicity events and weekly performances with Carmen, I hadn’t really known her that well. I knew she lived with her father, who was writing a book about World War II in the Pacific, and that an early marriage to writer / director / filmmaker Ferdi Grofé, Jr., son of Grand Canyon Suite composer Ferdi Grofé, Sr., had ended in divorce. (An aside: In his day, Grofé Sr., known as the Prime Minister of Jazz, recorded a number of piano rolls that my grandparents owned).

Neither Carmen nor I realized the other had since moved to Hollywood. Catching me up on her life since settling on the coast, Carmen offered a brief but enticing picture of spiritual classes she was attending in Pasadena from a master teacher named Mary Weddell and her assistant, Miriam Willis. Mary, Carmen said, was an incredible 80 year old woman, a musician (piano, organ, voice), poet, seer, and philosopher, author of four published books, specialist in Egyptology, hieroglyphics, Sanskrit, East Indian languages (Bengalese, etc.), Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. She was also one of the Dead Sea Scrolls translators, whose name and work on the Scrolls were on view at Yale University, Israel University in Jerusalem, and the Huntington Library, Pasadena.

I was interested in knowing more, especially when Carmen alluded to Mary’s Friday night Planes of the Heavenworld classes. The science of nighttime soul travel is central to Mary's teaching. Every night from midnight to four a.m., Carmen explained, Mary picks us up in our sleep and takes our entire class to the Other Side. As a group, we visit the temples and halls of learning over there. We meet our heavenly guides, listen to group teaching, and then branch out individually for guidance, to take spiritual tests and receive initiations and healings. The tests are later paralleled in our lives in the physical world. Visiting the Planes of the Heavenworld both prepares us for the Afterlife and enriches our present lives in the here and now.

Carmen said Mary had attained such a high level of evolvement in past lives, that she had completed her earth evolution and didn’t need to come back to our planet. After reaching the 20th Plane in spiritual development, a person no longer needs to reincarnate, Carmen explained. They return only with a special mission. Mary’s mission is to teach the path to students like us.

I needed no persuasion; I knew immediately I wanted to become a part of this teaching. But Carmen said, Before you can take Mary’s classes, you first study with Miriam, who teaches Mary’s Color course.

    Color course? What’s that?

It’s called Creative Color Analysis. It’s a system of inspired and thoroughly tested spiritual development that Mary brought through from the Other Side many years ago. You probably know that there are any number of color teachings out there. But Mary’s goes way beyond the rest. Other color systems are kindergarten fare compared to Mary’s, which is light years beyond graduate school, unlike anything you’ll ever encounter. Wait and see, Carmen enthused, then added, Besides, Miriam – she’s Mary’s assistant who teaches Tuesday nights – Miriam is an absolute angel. You’ll love her.

When I pressed for further information, Carmen obliged my curiosity with more than I could absorb in one fell swoop, but which would later fall into place as I became a part of the classes. Carmen spoke of the psychological and spiritual rays of Mary’s color teaching, many of which were combinations rather than single hues, rays that embodied positive qualities and those that reflected negatives that were used in development and healing. She touched on the subject of auras, in particular the seventeen permanent rays of a master; she also spoke of auric viewings, which I had never heard of before; of color prayer, the Keys to the Kingdom, the Channel of our Being, extended rays, and other color related topics I would be hearing a lot about during my ensuing years of study with Mary and Miriam.

You’ll learn that in this teaching, there are 108 basic psychological and spiritual color rays, in addition to which there are a number of extended rays, Carmen said. You’ll learn what they are and how to use them.

What about the Planes classes, where you nightly visit the temples of the Other Side? I persisted. I’d like to go to those.

After you take color for a while, they’ll invite you to the Friday classes when they feel you’re ready, Carmen answered.

What constitutes readiness? I inquired. I feel ready now, because I really want to go –

Carmen said, I understand your wish. But you need foundational background that you’ll receive in the color classes before you can relate to what goes on in the Planes.

Carmen offered to pick me up the following Tuesday, saying she and her fiancé, George Flournoy, would be happy to drive me to Pasadena so I could start the color classes. She wrote down Mary and Miriam’s phone number, handing it to me with the advice I should call them to ask if it would be all right if I came. When I spoke with Miriam Willis, I was impressed with her strong and positive voice. She was warm and welcoming, saying she would be delighted to see me the following Tuesday. I could hardly wait.

I kept hearing Carmen’s parting words to me: Believe me, you will never be the same after you begin the classes. They are incredible - like nothing you have ever experienced in your life or ever will.

The following Tuesday marked the first of many successive weekly excursions from Hollywood to Pasadena, driving with Carmen and George, a tall, attractive sandy haired man. I was excited to be embarking on this new phase of my life.

Little did I realize, when I first approached the large rambling house situated on a quiet street just a few blocks off the busy freeway where classes were held, how much the teachings I was about to embark on would impact my life. Nor could I foretell that Mary, Miriam, and their extended clan would become like a second family to me. But most importantly, I had no idea what a wonderful treasure lay in store, a treasure that would resonate for the rest of my life.

Sunset colors framed palm, acacia, and magnolias silhouetted against the approaching twilight sky; the air was pungent with eucalyptus and cedar as George parked the car in front of the Pasadena compound. The large ranch house with its several extensions and outbuildings stood on an acre of property, bounded by clipped boxwood hedges, poinsettia and hibiscus. By the front doorway, a deodar raised its uppermost limbs in a parenthetical welcoming nod, while overhead, spiky clusters of bell-shaped, odiferous yucca blossoms hung next to the cylindrical appendages of pittosporum blooming with waxy white flowers. In back were beautiful gardens, in particular a profusion of many colored roses lovingly tended by Miriam.

Always, to step inside the Pasadena complex was to meet order, beauty, serenity, and the certainty of love in the most selfless agape sense of the word. The room where classes met was a long rectangular shape. A larger than life floor to ceiling work of art dominated the far end of the studio. This was an arresting and enormously comforting portrait of Jesus, arms outstretched, with the most compelling eyes I have ever seen – hypnotic and gentle, reflecting immense compassion. The right hand, raised in a gesture of blessing, seemed alive, nearly human. The unforgettable, inspired likeness had been painted by artist Miriam Willis.

Slender, auburn haired, erect in posture, supple of movement, beautiful at seventy and looking a good two decades younger than her actual years, Miriam Willis was the soul of sweetness, yet amazingly firm and resolute, with a keenly focused mind and a fine sense of humor. Her devotion to the teachings, to her students, to Mary and to her faith were absolute and unshakeable. Strength of character was immediately discernable in Miriam. She always reminded me of the thin reed that bends in a storm and survives when larger, sturdier trees are felled.

Canvases displaying color fans were mounted on easels on either side of the chair in which Miriam sat during class. On every student’s seat had been placed grey-covered Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship hymnals. Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship (SFF), I was to learn, an organization that many in the class had frequented, was an interfaith, non-profit movement of business and professional people who felt a kinship with the growing Western interest in altered states of consciousness and mystical experiences.

Classes began with a few introductory musical bars played by color student /organist Margaret Branchflower. The class, some twenty of us strong, picked up our SFF hymnals and raised our heartfelt voices to Handel’s music:

Awake my soul, stretch every nerve

    And press with vigor on.

A heavenly race demands thy zeal,

    And an immortal crown.

    And an immortal crown.

    A cloud of witnesses around

    Hold thee in full survey;

    Forget the steps already trod,

    And onward urge thy way,

    And onward urge thy way.

    ’Tis God’s all animating voice

    That calls thee from on high;

’Tis His own hand presents the prize

    To thine aspiring eye,

    To thine aspiring eye.

That prize with peerless glories bright,

    Which shall new lustre boast,

When victors' wreaths and monarchs’ gems

    Shall blend in common dust,

    Shall blend in common dust.

    Blest Saviour, introduced by thee,

    Have I my race begun;

And, crowned with vict'ry, at your feet

    I'll lay my honors down,

    I'll lay my honors down.

Then awake, my soul, stretch every nerve,

    And press with vigor on,

A heavenly race demands thy zeal,

    And an immortal crown,

    And an immortal crown.

After a period of color-inspired meditation, Miriam directed the class in an auric viewing, in which we students closed our eyes and allowed colors to emerge into awareness. Each of us had a box of oil pastels and paper in front of us. We marked down the colors that came to our consciousness, beginning at bottom with a block of forest green, followed by subsequent colors placed one on top of the other. Our auric viewings would be reviewed by Mary and Miriam and returned to us with comments during
