Aislin
Aislin is of Irish, Danish, English, and Romany (Gypsy) descent. Raised on the Canadian prairies, she spent most of her formative years with her maternal grandfather, following him into his garden and through the woods. He introduced her to the magick of nature. It is the magick of her childhood that has the greatest influence on her today.Aislin is considered a local expert on paganism, the occult, and astrology. She also teaches some local classes on these topics, though The Winnipeg Pagan Teaching Circle. She has been a Wiccan High Priestess since 2000, and has always made an effort to educate seekers when they ask. She founded The Order of the Sacred Star, a group that specializes in educating Pagans of all kinds as well as any other interested parties. Her own children, both boys, are quickly learning the ways of Wicca and seem to embrace nature’s magick with vigor. She is also a professional astrologer and Tarot reader, serving her local community in this capacity as frequently as required. As a writer, Aislin is the author of Tarot Deciphered: Understanding and Using the Tarot, which has become a handbook for those new to the Tarot and its uses. She is also the author of the entire Ashling Wicca Series, which is the first series of books to publish anything about Ashling Wicca and its teachings. If you’re interested in discovering more about Aislin and her work, connect with her through her blog: http://theorderofthesacredstar.blogspot.com/

Reviews for Ashling Wicca, Book Two

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was looking for something that wasn't quite Traditional Wicca but wasn't not Wicca either. This one did it for me. It's simple enough even for a beginner like me to understand, so I wasn't lost at any point. I also liked that it's more reasonably priced than some of the Wicca books on the market. I'll be buying the next one as soon as I'm done with this one.

About the Author
About the Workbook
We all learn differently. Some of us read and absorb, others like to hear someone speak. Still others need to learn by doing. There are even a few who need to write down what they’ve learned in order for it to stick. But regardless of how you learn, that knowledge must at some point be applied.
That’s the point of this workbook. To apply and utilize the lessons taught in Ashling Wicca, Book Two. Be aware, however, that in creating this workbook, I assume you have read and worked through Ashling Wicca, Book Two. I am also assuming that you have already read Ashling Wicca, Book One and its accompanying workbook. I may tell you to ground yourself, or to earth excess energy, and if you haven’t read the preceding books, you may not know what I’m referring to when I mention these techniques.
This workbook is designed so you can use it in one of two ways. If you’ve purchased this book after already navigating Ashling Wicca, Book Two, you can begin immediately working through the workbook. But if you’ve purchased them at the same time, you might want to alternate. Go through the unit in the master book (Ashling Wicca, Book Two), then work through the corresponding unit in the workbook (this book).
All the units within this workbook have the same sections. The first will be a test. Twenty questions covering the material presented in the master book. Short answer questions only. No multiple choice and no essays of any kind. This isn’t college, after all. The questions are short and designed to help you remember the very core of the unit. Don’t cheat and constantly look up the answers. Write the test, then check your answers in the master book. If you didn’t get them all right, go back and do the test again. Keep doing this until you can successfully answer all twenty questions. You shouldn’t have to repeat this more than a couple times. The tests are fairly easy.
The exercises within each unit are mostly designed to help you focus and direct your own energy, though you’ll encounter a few that don’t have anything to do with energy manipulation. Following these exercises will help guide you through the use of your own energy and will help prepare you for the Earth Degree Initiation you may want to perform. It may be tempting to skip ahead, to leave out certain exercises, but don’t. They’ll help build the foundation for the work in Ashling Wicca, Book Three and beyond.
Then there are those questions that are sort of test-like but don’t fit smoothly into a test. I’ve elected to call these Journal Entries
and have stuck them after the exercises. Sometimes you’ll be asked about an exercise from the workbook. Other times you’ll be asked a question that’s almost like a long answer question on a test but without any right answer. Use these entries to deepen your understanding of the principles of Ashling Wicca.
There’s more to learning than simply taking a test and performing some basic exercises. You have to truly consider what it is you’ve learned. This means reflecting on the lessons and absorbing them. This is the purpose of the Reflections
section of each unit. No right or wrong answers here, just your own ideas. Don’t try to mark your answers, because they’re simply a reflection of how you feel about the given topic. Answer these in any way you like. If a single sentence answers the question, that’s good enough. But if you need an essay, feel free. Most of the reflections presented here won’t take nearly that much space to answer, but it’s up to you.
Complete all sections of each unit before proceeding to the Appendices at the end of the book. Here you will find the last little bit
