About this ebook

Jadine resides in the third house of the angelic realm, and holds the elevated position of Chief of Power. The position once held by Lucifer himself.

The acts of terror that have taken place on earth, if not resolved, could prevent the prophesies of John, and the promise of peace on earth to mankind.

Jadine's battle begins when she is assigned as a global investigative reporter with great intelligence, assigned by the BBC to cover the crimes both in Liverpool England and New York.

Her profile as the Chief of Powers is so great within the angelic communities, that she is to walk as a human without memory of her angelic reality. This is vital if the dark ones are not to discover who she is.

Jadine's battle as a human, uncovers truths that reside around string theory and around the intervention of demons; who stalk humans and influence the free will of people.

With the knowledge of string theory and the possible existence of other dimensions in reality; Jadine discovers facts so incredible, that only her bravery can resolve the events taking place, and events to come.

From the highest form of angel, to a human who is capable of murder, Jadine's battle with the darkness is taken in blind faith; a faith that holds the potential for either peace on earth or terrorism like mankind has never seen.

Christine Byrne

Christine Byrne has been writing all her life. From a young age she wrote songs and poetry and continued writing into her adult years. As a writer Christine has written about important news matters relating to the environment, that have been published on line. The Angel Sagas are a series of fictional stories, that intertwine fantasy and modern world issues. Each individual story involves one key Angel who has a specific mission to undertake, and in order to carry out their mission they must walk as a human. Each story within the Angel Sagas focuses on a specific topic. Loki's Path is a story about greed and corruption within a political system, the key to its exposure residing with a homeless man in London. Evangeline's Mission touches on the destructive nature man has on the planet and Jadine's battle explores a new level of terrorism, that if not stopped, could affect the security of the whole world. When inspired by modern issues, Christine creatively sculptures a plot that joins together the issues at hand, with the fantasy of Angelic intervention.Research for further Angel Sagas are underway, and Christine is also working on her biggest novel, "The 4th Grace" which will bring the Angel Saga's to their final conclusion.

    *****

Many thanks my brother Ian and my son James for their support. Both are my biggest critics, and the endorsement of my writings has motivated me to write more stories within the Angle Sagas. Their support and inspiration has encouraged me to tackle different modern topics, within the realms of fiction. Thanks also go to my best friend Elaine, who inspires me every day.

Please note that I use British spelling throughout. You will see doubled letters (e.g. focussed), ou’s (e.g. colour) and ‘re’ (centre) as well as a few other differences from American spelling.

I hope you enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

    Chapter 1

The backdraft of wind hurled through the underground tunnel of Central station in the famous city of Liverpool, England on a brisk spring evening. It was five thirty five, and the station platform was filled with commuters returning home from work in the city, and families tired after their fun filled day, each looking at the information board wanting to know when their train was to arrive.

Stand back from the yellow line please! a man’s voice shouted down the length of the platform to all commuters and families, eager to leap on the train as soon as it arrived.

Most people were standing behind the line, toes millimetres away to ensure compliance with the safety instruction being shouted down the breezy, arch shaped length of the tunnel. Some people stepped a few paces back, when the West Kirby line was announced to be at the platform within 1 minute, allowing other commuters to step up to the barrier of the large thick yellow line that ran down the gangway, just one metre away from the edge.

Muffled by the blustery winds inside Central Street station, and the screeching sound of the train trying to grind to a violent halt, unmerciful screams could barely be heard. The echo of the screeching train around the semi- circular surrounds vibrated off the snow white, newly placed tiles into the ears of all people in the station. Several men were vomiting violently at the incident that had taken place; waves of fluid flew out of their body staining the whiteness of the tiles. Some used the tiled walls to hold their body up, unable to withstand the scene before their eyes, whilst others bent over double, unable to stop the surge of relentless heaving and the uncontrollable convulsions they were experiencing.

Several women on the platform fainted at the bloodcurdling heinous scenes they had witnessed; their psyche’s unable to accept the horror of the moment.

The majority of men, women and children of all ages and from different backgrounds, fled in sheer terror, running into the crisp new exit shafts towards the moving escalators, in a bid to escape the carnage that had occurred in the archway tunnels of Central Street Station.

On the same day at twelve thirty five in the afternoon, at 42nd Street Grand Central Station, Manhattan New York, crowds of people waited for their train to arrive. Two youths were arguing aggressively behind a stained white tiled column, pointing a shoving each other amid the hustle and bustle of the subway. Suited business men looked at their expensive wrist watches, impatiently awaiting their transportation to their next vital meeting.

The hanging signage indicated 5th Avenue Time Square and Main Street Flushing, as travellers moved to the edge of the central platform eagerly awaiting the arrival of their train. The distant sounds of an engine, heading towards the Main Street Flushing track could be heard, indicating its imminent arrival, motivating crowds of people to move towards the edge, ready to board.

Lilith stayed close her target, whispering quietly into his ear.

Look at them she whispered softly, a comforting voice to her target, one he was familiar with, one he had listened to often during his teenage and adult years.

They don’t deserve to live! These people who have it all, they are thankless and selfish

The young man stood with his head bent, his mind full of hatred and vengeance, the voice in his head narrating the filth of the people before him. People like this, who had abused and used him all of his life.

Lilith, a familiar demon was not visible to the human man. How she detested these creatures that were loved so much by HIM. Everything about them revolted her; she had picked this one very carefully.

She had entered his consciousness five years earlier, just after his whore of a mother had killed herself, and his drunken father had beaten him to within an inch of his life with a baseball bat. She became his familiar spirit just as he was about to end his own life; talking him out of it and residing in his head like a friend, telling him his time would come, he would be someone special, someone the world would know through his vengeance.

You should do it! her rasping whisper pierced through his consciousness like a burning sword, Now is the time! You will be famous the world over!

Lilith covered her target with her stunning royal blue and yellow wings shielding him from other stimuli that may prevent him for carrying out the act. These humans were tricky creatures, they had this awful thing called free will. Like all angels, she could not
