About this ebook
A collection of poetry designed to take the reader on a wry journey into the dark underbelly of the human psyche. Provocative at times, these poems express the inner angst of a soul searching for its truth.

Unchained Poetry - Leigh Templeton
Say my name!
His heated staccato breath
beats its hot whispered
rhythm into her ear,
a flash of silver coldness
draws a new vein
on the tapestry of pink flesh,
releasing
broken images in its mirrored lens
of the bearers
portfolio
rapid –
jagged –
all haphazard.
Her eyes lose their lustre
as he thrusts
his final (call),
this is the very image
that her soul will recall.
Avoirdupois
In a world
where consumerism
resorts to
psychological warfare,
the ultimate
desire to increase
ownership
– branded
as labels
re-creates
this parallel
dimension of
urban robotic
paganistic expression
‘piece meal relief’
the gods
modernised
re-designed
updated
zeus – refashioned,
