Jesus is Alive! - from the perspective of the traders in the temple. Soldiers aren't paid to think - from the perspective of the soldiers guarding the tomb of Jesus.

Owen Shelley has been a prominent Children's Missioner for over 50 years and produced a wide range of resources during this time. In 2007 he, and his son Stephen, recognised that these resources were still relevant today if only they could be updated for the modern technological age. The following plays have been written with the aim of portraying the Easter story from a diffierent angle. These plays can be performed with puppets or actors and are suitable for an Easter service or an open air event.
If the governor hears:
Written from the point of Pilate and the many visits he recieved during the Easter event.
Characters:
Pilate - wearing a toga
Pilate's Servant
Guard - Roman soldier
Jews: - Can be simply 2 Jews or more depending on availability of actors.
Joseph - wealthy jew
Certurion - Roman soldier with red cape
Priests & Pharisees - can be the same characters as Jew 1 & 2 or more than just 2 people depending on the availability of actors.
Jesus is Alive!
Written from the point of view of the traders in the temple starting with Jesus
