About this ebook

Like a crazed computer where "this" and "that" minus "what if" plus "whatever" equals "Oh boy, we're in trouble now!" - the "over-looked" news items of the day that never became headlines mixed together with American Indian history and culture and the possibility of Apocalypse 2012 become the focus of every man, James Allen.

    Acknowledgments

Praise for the people who believed in me when I did not.

This is a work of fiction, with references only, to history as we know it. While some portions are identical, or at least similar to the reality that we understand, those portions are simply meant to be a part of a story line of a fictional form of reality, and they are only a reference point meant to engage the reader in what COULD BE or might have been.

It may stir emotion and it is designed to stir the heart and perhaps the soul as well. To show a fondness for the life in our oceans and in the atmosphere we breathe. Wonder about the incredible oddity that allows the human race to be here at all. Perhaps, for some, even the desire and dedication to learn how to become better at taking care of our home - without worrying about whose responsibility, fault, ability, it may have been that the WORLD – OUR HOME – CAN BECOME SO POLLUTED THAT OUR DESCENDANTS WILL NO LONGER BE WELCOME BECAUSE WE SIMPLY COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO PICK UP OUR OWN DIRTY LAUNDRY IN OUR ROOMS.

My thanks and appreciation to my wife-Carolyn who has been kind enough to edit this monumental monstrosity, to my friends (especially Kisha), and to people I had just met, who listened to my BIG MOUTH as I got myself fired up over something I felt was wrong (anything) and practiced my offbeat, woodsy, rambling, orations, and simply said, why not write a book? So I did.

    PREFACE

    American Indian Spirits/Religious Figures

Wakantanka (Dakota Indian): Creator - Alone in the void before Existence began. Divided into four, then mated with earth Mother and sky to make the Sun.

ONATAH (Iroquois): Corn Goddess - Daughter of Eithinoha.

MAHEO (Cheyenne): All Spirit - Created everything at the Beginning by thought alone.

Dayunsi (Cherokee): also Gaia, (Mother Earth-Iroquois) - Made the Earth and everything on/in it.

    BEFORE THE BEGINNING

Dayunsi was sent by Wakantanka millennia ago to seed and oversee a new world and found Earth. There were life forms on the planet, mainly in the oceans. She found a suitable area to stay unnoticed and out of the way in the area we know as the Mariannes Trench in the Pacific Ocean.

Dayunsi was born at the BEGINNING when the universe was first created, she was able to thrive in any environment including deep space, so what was a little pesky water pressure at 35,000 feet or so? She could thrive in any environment. Her two parents, Father and Mother God (Wakantanka and Onatah) gave the challenge to Gaia and her siblings.

Go forth and seek that which we have wrought. Nurture that life and guide it gently. As they become or fail - learn and grow thy self.

So began a great experiment; with many life forms beginning and few thriving as is the natural way. Two of the aquatics races were the whale and dolphin - both intellectually aware, but happy to stay in their environment with little or no need for further development. As the land areas began to appear, some of the smaller aquatics became able to breathe the atmosphere that was evolving and spent longer periods above the surface of the water, eventually moving to the land mass entirely. As the land and the creatures and plants on it began to evolve (with periodic nudges from Gaia), there began to appear some - with great potential.

    CHAPTER ONE

By January 17, 2011, James Allen had been out of work for a little over a year. He was by no means the only one as things were getting tough for thousands more Americans every week. The new President had been in office for a year now. His Party had passed some new laws without even reading them. As the Speaker of the House had said, You’ll have to pass it to find out what is in it. She was NOT kidding either.

As he searched the internet for potential jobs, his internet source came up with a news highlight with the news. It included an article about Oklahoma which had passed a law in 2010 by a 70% margin, which restricted Oklahoma judges to using ONLY Oklahoma state law or Federal law and NO international or religious laws to render decisions. On appeal, the court blocked it from taking place.

As more of the working class was increasingly NOT WORKING; personal spending dropped like a stone. As personal spending dropped, business spending nearly stopped, and business sales plummeted. Federal revenues simply stopped (or close enough to make little difference). James had often heard the phrase Spend like a drunken sailor and that pretty much said it all. In this case, it seemed more about controlling the Dumb Masses than anything else. James had continued to apply for jobs, but nothing was forthcoming, although he had come in second or third on more than a few occasions. He had always hated to accept unemployment, but even that had run out. He was old enough to draw Social Security, (reduced rates for 62-1/2 age rate) and began to do so, but continued to look for supplemental work locally. The past year or so, even local government jobs had tremendous amounts of applications for even the most menial of jobs, and his experience( and age) was actually against him in more ways than one. He had always said during interviews that he would never knowingly say anything he could not prove to be the truth. More than a few interviewers had suggested that he might do better if he wasn’t QUITE so honest. After some soul searching, he decided he didn’t get the job, but they didn’t get him either. He felt it was more their problem than his in the long run. Finally, James tried applying for a twenty hour position as an aide doing cleanup work outside at a local city park. Whispering Pines was about 300 acres and was originally set aside for the City of Inverness, Florida, to establish a natural setting for local wildlife and recreation of local residents. It became well respected in the area and was now used by people from Wildwood to Homasassa Springs, Fla. James spent most of his five hours a day-20hours total per week, cleaning sidewalks, emptying trash cans, and just plain being pleasant to people even the few who were totally hung up on their self esteem.

The President had taken the oath of Office in January, 2010 with a flurry of promises about change, hope, and new beginnings. The only new beginning James had seen so far was that America’s way of life was being flushed into the sewer. America’s wealthy, whose companies provided the jobs most people depended upon for daily survival, already paid sixty percent of the taxes while over 50 percent of the rest of the population paid no taxes at all. Instead, they got subsistence from various Federal and/or State agency which paid their bills for them. James knew of people he had worked with who felt they should be paid every week and should not be forced to go to a job or pay taxes. By 2011, James had met so many of the SFNC (Something For Nothing Crowd), he could no longer stand to be in their presence. Abruptly leaving a conversation on a note of Work for It usually made the feeling of disgust mutual.

James remembered listening to Paul Harvey’s That’s the Rest of the Story on the radio each work day back in the late 60s and 70s during his lunch break. On one occasion, the news was about the garbage that was piling up in New York City. It seemed the City Workers were on strike, and the garbage was piling up. The Mayor announced that anyone who wanted to continue receiving unemployment or other forms of Assistance would have to work ten hours per week on Garbage Detail in order to receive that aid, or prove they were not physically able to with a doctors’ note on official paperwork. Amazingly, the Assistance rolls dropped by nearly 60% the following week and many of those people offered to REPLACE the City employees and go back to work . There was a big court battle over the Mayor’s so called Right to do this Unspeakable Act, but the garbage got picked up and the strike got settled without the Court Systems’ help. As a result, the number of people who had been receiving the Assistance dropped and the Garbage Collectors quickly settled their strike. That was the rest of the story.

One of the most amusing things to repeat, twisting the humor of it like a knife in the gut of some of his more liberal friends, was a recent commercial about a couple of Viking type barbarians- one at a podium saying Read my lips, no new axes!!, and holding up a primitive battle axe. The other part of the same commercial had another fellow setting under a tree talking to a donkey, saying So you’re a Democrat. James found no trouble at all separating absolute strangers into conservative and liberal groups with that one.

James was doing some volunteer work for the local library and picked up some paperback books to read. They were free and had no time limit on them- just return them when done.

One alternate history involved Germany and the end of WWII. In it, radium was used with large explosives to make people sick and eventually die from radium poisoning. James started to think what might be done without massive destruction to the physical infrastructure, just removing biological s (life forms) and have a relatively short lifespan. Going to an EPA website, James did some research and found the effects of radium, cesium, and tritium could indeed be deadly with long term or high short term exposures, with lingering painful death if the dosage was high enough. They were fairly common isotopes that were not directly connected to nuclear power plants or nuclear weapons, but could be produced by either one as byproducts .

These three ingredients that James found most prevalent included radium (which was in the book)he had read , but cesium and tritium were also interesting in that they followed the basic premise of the book as well. The book only listed radium, and the time frame was WWII, but the effects on human physiology was such that he thought all three could be used in such a manner.

Dayunsi thought the man had potential. For a while, he seemed to be giving up and slipping away. He loved to read and learn. Between the discordant harmony of the world news and that one little paperback book, with just a touch into the right direction, perhaps he could put into writing something that would make others more AWARE. In concert with others, the chorus could become a masterpiece.

In the meantime, her whales, dolphins, and seals were still being killed. Many humans had joined the fight to save them all, and that was a good thing, although that war against
