About this ebook

Winter season. Winter holidays. Playing white chess. Playing white. Set in St Petersburg, the story may be called a winter tale. The main personage is Oscar Maria Graf, great traveller and younger contemporary of Oscar Wilde. A Stenbock-like figure, by his origin and his dabbling in literature, Oscar Graf is much hotter, more active, able-bodied, pragmatic and of great vitality than Eric Stenbock (1860-1895) who is no more, by the time of the story. Time: the first year of Wilde’s imprisonment. On the Christmas eve, Oscar and his boyfriend Felix receive some news which whirls them away to a mystery of the past. All personages are aged 20+. Happy ending.
“Many believe creativity is mystery, and I always knew that my body is the key.” (Lara Biyuts. Silver Thread Spinner)
“Why is the mouth for silver ringing words or the right hand for a hilt or lute or quill intended? Could I accept the drab existence of the Tin Age? Late to be born.” (Lara Biyuts)
“The daylight is for lips that have said amen. The night--it will remember you, forgetting of itself that full of you.” (Lara Biyuts)
