This book is very wrong. 'Spiders drop sting'. And there is no mention of baby zombies, or the nether, and ghasts supposedly dont drop ghast tears. And no potions? And what noob would make a hole in the roof?!! I also noticed he wanted us to give up everything we did, and go do it all over again. >:/ This book is very wrong.

This was a very simple and basic book. It only contains the most basic of crafting recipies, which are very helpful to beginners. If you have already survived your first couple of nights and are looking to make advanced tools and items, this is not the book for you. If you are exactly just that, "a beginner just starting the game out" then this quick read will be quite helpful to you.

However, before we dive in, we have one very important question to answer, what is Minecraft? Minecraft is a downloadable game for both PC and console. It was designed by Markus ‘Notch’ Persson and Jens ‘Jeb’ Bergensten. Minecraft was published by Mojang Studios, and the Xbox-360 version was co-developed by 4J studios.

The basic premise of Minecraft is extremely simple. Players are placed into a randomly generated open world, constructed entirely of cubic elements. These elements, or blocks, are remarkably similar to 2x2 Lego blocks. Players are able to break these cubic elements and collect them. They are then able to place the element wherever they wish in the game world. By collecting multiple blocks players are able to construct structures such as houses, and reshape the game world to their own liking.

A simple dirt cubic element, or block, from the world of Minecraft.

As the name of the game suggests, there are two core components to Minecraft. One major feature of Minecraft is mining. Players are able to dig into the surface of the game world, down into the depths below. This practice has since come to be known by many as spelunking. In the depths of the caves players can find all sorts of valuable elements such as coal,
