    Glen Johnson was born in Devon, England in 1973. He is the author of 55 fiction and non-fiction books. In August 2014, he gave away all his belongings and bought a backpack and he started travelling around Southeast Asia. While he travels, he helps charitable organizations, writing and releasing books about their foundations, leaving them with all the royalties. His first charity book is called Soi Dog: The Story Behind Asia’s Largest Animal Welfare Shelter and it’s available in ebook and paperback worldwide. He has also started to release a series of books about his travel adventures as they unfold, and Living the Dream: Part One – Khaosan Road, Thailand, and Part Two – Krabi, Thailand is available from all good ebook retailers.       Make Your Peace With God

      There is a verse in the Christian Bible where Jesus says, My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth give I unto you. This scripture readily shows that inward peace is not an invention of human beings; it is a gift from God. Therefore, to have peace you must connect yourself to the author of peace: Jesus Christ Himself.

      Note what Jesus said, His peace He gives unto you. His peace not your peace not your parents peace, not the peace of your spouse but His peace. This means that peace comes from above directly from Jesus. The implication here is that peace cannot be found apart from Jesus. There is no one on this planet that can give you peace. There is nothing under the sun that can sustain the calm of the soul.

      Peace is an outflow of divine grace and favor. When you connect yourself to God through the Holy Spirit peace will flow like a river. Note that peace originates in Christ and flows from Him. It does not come from happenings. It does not come from events. And it certainly does not come from the estimation of others. It has nothing to do with what others think about you or feel about you. It has nothing to do with your economic or social status. You cannot buy peace with your wealth, fame and adulation. Peace is not a manufactured quality. You cannot use calculus and quantum physics to obtain it. Human philosophy and psychoanalysis can never figure it out. It flows from Christ Himself to the human soul.

      That’s why without faith in Jesus Christ you can never sustain abiding peace in your life. Never! The world may idolize you as a god and you still will not have peace in your heart apart from Jesus Christ.

      Large numbers of people throughout human history have committed suicide because they had no peace in their souls. Some of them were rich, famous, and larger than life. But their wealth, fame and societal standing could not alleviate the unbearable pain in their troubled souls.

      For some strange reason many think that peace can be found apart from the author of peace - Jesus Christ. A man in a northern state once told me that if he ever lost his stock investments he would put a gun to his head and blow it off. That man’s peace was anchored in his investment portfolio. And suicidal records show that many who commit suicide did so after losing their families and life’s
