Glenn Dixon has travelled through more than sixty-five countries, publishing travel articles and cultural pieces in major publications such as National Geographic Magazine and the New York Post. He is the author of three books. In the Teeth of the Gods is his first novel. It is a work of historical fantasy describing the apocalypse of the Mayan civilization. Some have likened his works of imaginative fiction – a character name for each chapter - to George R.R. Martin and the Game of Thrones. His works of non-fiction include Pilgrim in the Palace of Words: a journey through the 6000 languages of Earth and, coming in April 2013, Tripping the World Fantastic: a journey through the music of our planet. Dixon produces documentary films and plays guitar in the chill out band Global Chilling. He lives in works in Calgary, Canada.
