Through My Rhymes - Jesse Chamberlain

    Cry Dream

I saw it in my dreams,

Looking in my little girl's eyes,

When she asked me why people have to die,

That's when I held her close and sighed.

I didn't know what to say,

But when I let her move away,

I saw the tears on her cheeks,

And as I wiped them I figured out a way.

I told her that things change,

    Some for better or worse,

But those that you love never leave you,

    They will always remain close.

As long as you believe in life after death,

To never let go even when nothings left,

Those that you love become your strength,

And you can live your life to all lengths.

    I gave her a hug,

Felt her ear listening to my heart,

My young baby never forget that beat,

Just remember it when times get hard.

    I gave her a kiss,

And then left her to sleep,

    That's when I woke up,

And felt a tear on my cheek.

    Spirit

I want to feel the spirit of winning a championship game,

I want to feel the spirit of getting knocked down, only to rise again,

I want to feel the spirit that’ll hold the trophy high above my head,

I want to feel the spirit continuing to move forward long after I’m dead.

For every deep breath taken and stride on the pavement,

Every sweat drop, every carb burned during the commitment,

You push yourself further, striving to reach your goal,

Feeling it in your muscles and bones, it’s starting to take its toll.

You stretch it all out and push yourself over and over again,

Breaking every wall you hit knowing that you can make the end,

Your heart rate’s still climbing and the hunger sets in,

Every little bit further, bringing you closer to being a champion.

Every single seconds counts knowing I’ve got to make the score,

Block out the crowd and bring nothing but my best once more,

Watch every movement and choosing to hold my ground,

I will bring it all until the final horn sounds.

I want to feel the spirit of making
