    Introduction

Welcome to the 7 steps to Finding Work in the UK.

First of all, congratulation on doing your research about working overseas and/or backpacking Europe. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you should not miss out on and could change your life forever.

My name is Daniel Hardie and I too backpacked Europe and found work in the UK. I left Sydney to start my backpacking experience in Rome and travelled through Italy, France, the Netherlands and Germany before landing in London, in the hope I would land a job.

I left Australia, with no job set up and waiting for me on the other end. I just dropped everything and moved over there with nothing but an ambition of staying in Europe as long as possible.

My UK working experience was working for a company called 1st Contact and if you’ve been researching backpacking Europe then you may have already heard of them.

1st Contact has a few different roles to play when it comes to backpackers and working holiday makers of Europe. The first and most obvious is their kick start package which provides bank accounts, a sim card and a seminar for living in London.

    Other roles include creating
