The Magical Hairbrush
Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away, there lived a peasant girl named Lilly. Lilly was a young average girl with an average look. She spent her days doing menial labor around the house, going to school, and playing with her only friend, Harry.
Lilly would spend her nights looking out of her bedroom window to see the castle in the distance. She wished that she could marry a prince one day and live in the castle. Then she wouldn't have to do anything except just enjoy the finer things in life. Every night she would look up at the stars and wish.
I hope one day I can live in the castle one day,
Lilly wished. I would be the happiest girl in all the world.
But alas, she would wake up every morning having to do her chores, go to school, and come home to do homework. After a few years she realized that it had become hopeless to dream because she would just be average and never extraordinary.
On her thirteenth birthday she woke up to find her mother and aunt watching over her. Lilly was startled to see these two women just watching her and she slept.
Don't worry my child,
her mother comforted her. I have a present for you.
Her mother revealed to her a box with a red ribbon around it. She opened it to reveal a bronze handled hairbrush. It looked as though it was many many years old. The bristles were starting to fall off, but Lilly was mesmerized by the beautiful jewels that were attached to the handle. Lilly held the hairbrush and felt a magical surge run through her body. Her mother quickly snatched it out of her hand and put it back into the box.
You must never use this hairbrush,
her mother warned. It contains magic that is beyond your grasp. But I am trusting you to keep it in safe keeping. Don't ever use it unless you are ready to deal with the consequences.
Lilly listened to her mother, but she yearned to find out what the hairbrush could do. She didn't understand why her mother would tease her with the hairbrush if she couldn't touch it.
Her mother safely put it in the top shelf of her dressers and walked out of the room.
Lilly just sat up in her bed wanting to know what magical powers that hairbrush had.
I could just take a peak at it,
Lilly thought. She wouldn't even know if I just looked at it.
Lilly quickly ran over to the drawer and opened the box. The hairbrush was so pretty and it was softly calling out her name.
Lilly, Lilly, help me,
the hairbrush whispered in a soft raspy voice.
Lilly could hear it's call and it just made her want to save whoever pr whatever was in there. Lilly slowly touched the hairbrush and she could feel immense magical energy surge through her body again. It was a captivating and sensational feeling that she didn't want
