So, what exactly is a Zactainian, you may ask? To answer that the questions, where and when, will need to be addressed first. If one was to look far into the future where new planets and galaxies are discovered every day, one would find that a race of courageous and strong-willed creatures exists. Created by a mad scientist for the military of Earth, Zactainians were once slaves to their human masters. Each standing a head taller than the average man, they possess tan to dark-blue skin, legs like that of a horse (though without so much hair), tails like that of lizard, and heads resembling a human mixed with an iguana. They also possess a sharper, bonier, and more pronounced chin. The bridge of their nose has bony plates acting as armor. They have no eyebrows and their eyes are either dark red, dark blue, milky white, or pitch black. Their ears consist of ear-shaped lumps of scale over a vast network of auditory nerves. Their torso and arms are like that of a human, only several parts of their body are armored by a carapace, which is kind of like a beetle’s shell.
This carapace covers partway down the back of their head up until just before their eyebrow line. The tips of their fingers are armored and give the digit a sort of claw like look. Their elbows, upper back, knees, and groin area are also armored. All of their physical features would make them perfect to use as weapons against the demonic threat that the universe was about to face. However, the scientist who created them along with ten champions of the Zactainian race rose up and freed themselves from the humans and found a new home. (It is a tragic tale that will need to be told another time. They named their new home, Zactainia. However, the demons managed to follow them and attack their home. One of the Zactainian champions named Jericho found the sanctuary of the planet mother, Vinea’ Trallia, a goddess of the Light. She granted him the powers of the Light and with the power, Jericho vanquished the demon threat. The scientist, who had accidentally empowered himself by sharing in the blood of his creation, found that they had the ability to close the demon gates that appeared across the universe. This was due to the Cursed Spirit Wolf Blood
that was used in their creation. Having learned this, they set out and all but ended the demonic threat. This ushered in many years of peace.
Unfortunately, one of the champions by the name of Painbringa had succumbed to corruption due to blood disease. He took half the Zactainians to start a campaign bent on eliminating everything that was not of Zactainian blood. Painbringa began by entering the demon world and killing a demon lord to obtain his powers so that he might influence demon followers. Many died in the war but eventually good triumphed and the combined alien races of the universe, along with the good Zactainians, drove the evil back into the deepest reaches of space. At the end of the war, the Zactainians were seen as monsters, due to their appearance and power. The evil Zactainians became space pirates and mercenary men for horrible villains, they continued to terrorize people under the name and banner of The Renegade
. The good Zactainians were now left with little to no allies; space elves and androids did have an alliance with them, but it would not hold up if other races wished to be completely rid of Zactainians. Because of their predicament, the Zactainians began scouring the universe for new allies. They named the traveling faction the Zactainian Empire.
The stories in this collection take place in a far off galaxy where the worlds are like those you might find in your imagination. The humans and their allies begin making settlements on some of the worlds, and spreading the rumor that all Zactainians are evil. Despite this, the Zactainian Empire attempts to negotiate peace, or have the worlds of the universe side with them instead of the humans. So, off we go, to lands made out of your wildest dreams!

Sunlocks and the Three Hunters
Once upon a time on a beautiful planet, there was a recently constructed human colony the size of no more than a large village. In this colony, there lived a girl whose golden, silvery hair shined like the sun. She was given the affectionate title of Sunlocks. Now Sunlocks was loved by all and she loved all, but she did like to explore, which worry everyone. She was always told to never go farther than where she could no longer see the village. However, one day she decided to go out a litter further. When she did, she found a river. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw that the water was crystal clear! Even back in
