Mufidah Kassalias

Mufidah Kassalias is a writer, photographer and recent convert to slow travelling. Currently she’s exploring the towns and cities of Europe with her partner and slow travelling companion, Sean M. Madden. Mufidah is working on a an autobiographical travelogue about her European travels, in which she intends to include the personal story of her experiences in Greece and Turkey, the lands of her ancestors. Her grandfather was a fisherman from Antiparos and her grandmother a refugee from Istanbul, having been forced from her homeland during the 1923 ‘population exchange’ between Greece and Turkey.
