    This book which provides practice in how to plan and write responses for graphs, tables and diagrams for the IELTS Academic Module is essential preparation for all serious students who are determined to achieve a high IELTS band score.

    Achieving a high IELTS band in Writing is not easy! There are no magic short-cuts. Writing any type of text is difficult and requires much practice and effort. This is particularly true of Task 1 questions, which are so very different from most writing that English-language learners do.

    1. Writing Task
    The tasks reflect very closely the type and range of questions that are set in the IELTS exam: line graphs, bar graphs, pie charts, tables of data, diagrams and flow charts.

    This highlights what key points need to be dealt with in the response.

    4. Model Answer
    The writing models are examples of very good responses to the task which would score very highly in the exam.
