      Noise reducing headphones were a must for Max. He couldn’t sleep without them. All the chattering from the animals outside made it so hard to sleep. Mornings weren’t any better. The birds complaining to one another was more than he could handle.

      The peaceful, calming mornings of listening to the birds sing and squirrels run around chattering at one another were long gone. It used to be pleasing sounds outside but that all changed a few weeks back when his keys went missing at the zoo where he worked. Max stumbled upon a sight he never imagined when he went back in to find his keys. He was brought in on a little secret animals have kept for a long time. When the animals make their chirping, growling, trumpeting, or squawking noises, he now hears something very different. Now he could understand what they were saying.
