I wrote this book to cover a subject that’s simple and discussed often, but that’s also all too often considered taboo in the business world. I’m going to begin this discussion by asking you to consider a couple of simple questions. I want you to try and think about your possible answers without actually answering.
First: What’s the relationship between modern employers and their employees?
This surely brings up a number of possible answers.
Now, ask yourself the same question with one modification: "What is the relationship between employers and their employees, when it comes to their company retirement programs?"
Employers and employees most certainly do form a relationship that must be nurtured to grow. Providing a quality, well-run employee retirement program can bring this vitally important employer/employee relationship to a place that makes the relationship a special one, indeed, benefitting all sides of the equation in the process.
This special relationship is one of the important issues I hope to address with this book, specifically as it applies to an employer who wishes to offer the most successful employee retirement plan possible.
