In this age of cell phones traditional landline
telephones are beginning to become less common in homes. So phonebooks have become smaller and smaller.
But the yellow pages still go on although not as strong as the advertising medium they once were. Businesses still use them because they are still effective in the area they are in.
If your business uses traditional yellow page advertising, try to also have your business on YP.com. Unlike a web site where you can make improvements every day to pull in more customers the same does not apply to print media.
