Forgive! Why should I?
()
About this ebook
Many people, including Christians, don't know how powerful forgiveness really is. Yet the Bible is very clear that forgiveness is part of God's character and therefore very important to Him. Contrary to God's forgiveness, we learn from the Bible that satan and his demons bring about the unforgiveness and bitterness that is so rife in the world today. In this little booklet the author describes God's key regarding why and how we should forgive those who have hurt us. There is only one way and that is the way Jesus Christ teaches us from His Word.

About the author
1. ALL THE REASONS (Back to top)
"How can I ever forgive him? He killed my mother! She was a defenseless old lady of eighty nine years!"
I’ll never forgive him! He left me for a girl half his own age. She’s even younger than our eldest daughter!
How can you ever expect me to forgive the man that raped my six-year old daughter?
She can forget it! I will never forgive her for humiliating me before my friends that way!
He molested me for sixteen years! How can I even think to forgive such a monster?
I will never forgive my sister for stealing my inheritance! She will never set foot in my house again!
What gives him the right to even expect forgiveness from me after the things that he did?
Why do I have to be the one who just forgives? He can come and beg me if he wants me to forgive him. Even then I will think on it first!
And the list goes on and on and on….. Because satan ensures with unrelenting ferocity that the list of reasons why we would NOT want to forgive, or be humanly expected to forgive, keeps getting longer and longer.
But the question remains: Are we supposed to be obedient to satan and our human nature, or to our Lord Jesus Christ?
2. WHAT DOES JESUS TEACH US? (Back to top)
In Roman times murderers, rapists and robbers were crucified. The only man that ever hung on a cross blamelessly was Jesus Christ. The two men that hung next to Him, hung there for a reason. Was it because they raped young girls, or murdered old people on a farm somewhere? We can just surmise about this. In those days the
