About this ebook
In a world plagued with intolerance for cultural, racial and religious differences, A Message of Peace serves as a panacea to the ills of the society. Prophetic in foresight and universal in scope, this book lays out a path to the peaceful existence of all humans based on the central theme of worshipping the One God.
It is not surprising therefore that A Message of Peace forms the last work of a man who was destined to lay the foundation for the establishment of peace in this day and age and whose advent was prophesied in all major religions of the world—the Promised Messiah and Reformer of the Latter Days. ‘My countrymen!’ writes the Promised Messiah, ‘A religion which does not inculcate universal compassion is no religion at all. Similarly a human being without the faculty of compassion is no human at all.’
Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
The worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was founded in 1889. Its founder, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) of Qadian, India, claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Reformer whose advent was awaited under different names and titles by the adherents of various religions. Under Divine guidance, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) revealed that only one such reformer was to appear and that his mission was to bring mankind into the fold of a single universal religion, Islam. He also maintained that the Promised Reformer was to appear as a subordinate and follower of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad [may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him]—in accordance with the prophecies by him about the second coming of Messiah and the appearance of al-Imam, al-Mahdi. He claimed to be the person in whom these prophecies were fulfilled.

Reviews for A Message of Peace

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Not impressive at all. Even if he talks peace, he do it like any other muslim author - by keep insisting their view that Quran is the perfection of religions. What if there is an even newer religion using their 'logic', that Quran is also corrupted and this new religion is the perfection? can they swallow this?
He states that Vedas and others are corrupted but require appreciation to Muhammad. It is like saying: let's have peace. You the imperfect religions with us the perfect one. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A simple and straightforward solution is offered by the author to achieve peace in the world.

Publisher's Note
Paigham-e-Sulh (A Message of Peace) is the last written work of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah(as), the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It was completed on May 25, 1908—just a day before his demise. The citizens of Lahore were the primary audience for this address; however its subject matter is in no way confined to them alone but is of vital importance to the entire population of the Indian subcontinent. The general principles laid down in the work are applicable to all countries which host multiple religions.
The Promised Messiah(as) passed away on May 26, 1908. The address was read out on his behalf at a conference held on June 21, 1908 at the Punjab University, Lahore for which it was intended. The English rendering of the address was done by a board of translators under the supervision and auspices of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad(rh), the Fourth Head of the world-wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The board consisted of: Sheila Ahmad Malik, Farina Qureshi, Sofia Safi, Farzana Javed, Farhana Sadiq, Fauzia Bajwa, Nawida Shahid and Fauzia Shah. The present revision done by Munawar Ahmed Saeed and Fouzan Pal is published with the approval of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad(aba), the present Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Other members of the USA translation team who made valuable contributions to this revision include Ahmad Tariq and ‘Abdul Wahab Mirza. May Allah bestow them the best reward for this. Amin.
Please note that in referencing the Holy Qur’an, we have counted ‘In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful’ as the first verse of the Chapter in which it appears.
We pray to God that this message may reach all people who have a genuine desire to study these issues. May Allah make this a source of guidance for them. Amin.
