    After being brutally murdered while a prisoner of war, Staff Sergeant Grayson Cole reawakens in a Virginia hospital bearing no physical sign of the scars from the torture he remembers enduring or the final blow that ended his life. How can he possibly be alive?

    Over the long course of his recovery, he gradually learns that he is part of an ongoing secret military experiment designed to harvest vital intel by digitizing and transplanting memories. His perceptions of who he is and what is real, already uncertain, are shattered when he discovers that the experiment has failed — multiple times, in fact — and that decades have elapsed since his identity was first coded. The grand test is about to be terminated.

    Now, with his very existence at risk, Grayson must scramble to uncover the truth about what he is and the nature of his existence. Then, and only then, might he be able to free himself from the metaphysical prison he keeps waking up in.

    Recode: T.G.C.A. is both a hi-tech psychological thriller and a speculative foray into the nature of self-awareness.
