About this ebook

Many Christians grew up thinking that "the kingdom of heaven" just refers to heaven. And yes, heaven is an absolute reality according to the Bible, a reality to which every reborn Christian will be going the day that they die. But not many Christians know that the kingdom of heaven also impacts our normal daily lives here on earth. The reason for this being that many Christians don't really ponder the Biblical fact that we are children of the King of the Universe and He made us and wants us to rule and reign and have dominion over the works of His hands. Because here on earth we experience attacks on our marriages, on our children, on our finances and on our health, attacks over which we must be able to live in victory and spiritual authority. This book strives to explain to all Christians that there is more to being a "child of the King" than just being saved.

    About the author

    1. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (Back to top)

Have you ever wondered what the kingdom of heaven that is used so many times in the Bible, refers to? Surely God’s kingdom refers to heaven, doesn’t it? No friend, the word used for kingdom in the Greek of the New Testament, is: basileia, which means: rule, or reign. In other words: AUTHORITY. In other words, the moment I enter the kingdom of heaven, it actually means I enter the rule or reign, the authority of God in my life – HERE AND NOW ON EARTH!

Heaven itself is only the cherry on top, with all due respect, which we will get one day when we die if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. When we read the gospel of Matthew, we see that John refers to the kingdom once and Jesus refers to it FORTY SEVEN times! And each and every time the Greek word Jesus used for kingdom, was basileia.

But is it also true that some verses in the Bible that uses the word kingdom do in fact refer to what will happen in heaven one day? Most definitely so yes. In the same manner we read some verses in the Bible that uses the word kingdom when it refers to the millennial reign of Jesus here on earth. But when you understand what the rest of the scriptures are all about, and you ask the Holy Spirit for discernment it is easy to differentiate between the scriptures. The ones that I use in this book all refer to the authority we have in God’s kingdom here on earth, as you will clearly see as we progress.

The big problem we have is that most of us grew up in a democracy and we don’t have a kingdom mindset. We don’t understand that God is the KING of kings and He wants His children, His princes and princesses to also rule and reign with and in His authority as He does.

In order to put this into perspective, let us look at some Bible texts to confirm the fact that kingdom in actual fact refers to authority. Firstly, let us look at the prophecy which was given about this kingdom in the book of Daniel:

"And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (Hebrew = malkoo, meaning dominion or reign) which shall NEVER be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever." (Daniel 2:44)

What kingdom did Daniel refer to? The kingdom of Jesus Christ which would be set
