About this ebook

Be Careful What You Pray For! Is not an instructional book on how to pray, but rather a book about the greatness of God the Father, to whom we pray. It is about his loving character and awesome demonstration of power, visible and invisible tat he may show in granting us our desired requests. It is about understanding Satan, the greatest identity thief there is and his attempt to distort God's original identity and plan for his people through lies and deceit.
This book is about a minister that pastor-ed for 20 years, but who struggled through life with fear and insecurities from childhood. Until one day at the age of 53, by praying a simple sentence prayer found himself in the supernatural realm. This spiritual vision took him form the face of Satan and eternal damnation (lake of fire) into the very presence of god and of the Lord Jesus Christ, in heaven. Where the powerful words of God, Himself claimed his liberation and revived his spirit.

    In Dedication

This book is dedicated to my precious mother, Carrie B. Brooks. It was her desire to see this book finished and for souls to be saved as a result. She went home to be with the Lord Jesus October 29, 2010 at the age of 91. What impressed me most about my mother was her strong determination to survive, and diligent ways she provided for her family. As a single mom, she worked extremely hard and denied herself of many of life’s plea- sures for her kids.

I am so privileged and grateful for God to have used me to lead her to Christ while in her late sixties and for her to become a pillar in the church where I pastor. She loved Jesus, and grew to become a faithful giver and trustee for over 20 years. In being her son and pastor, it amazed me that she never confused the two. As a son I was called Bill, but concerning spiritual matters

I was her pastor. My mother saw Jesus in me and genuinely respected me as her pastor. I miss her encouraging words as a trustee, We can do this, where is your faith?

Thank you Jesus; for allowing me to see my mother born again and for enabling us to become closer as a result. The call- ing of one another two or three times a day, and the wisdom of life’s lessons that she gave me will be missed. Remembering those times are special to me now. She would often said, You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone. Well mom, you were right again.

Thank you mom for all that you did in allowing God to use you to His glory, and for trusting Jesus through me as your pas- tor, in your obedience to His Will. You can now rest in the eter- nal peace of the Lord, and enjoy the splendors of heaven! Until we see one another again.

    With love,

    Your son and pastor
