Neverending Nightmare - Nick Federico
My name is Bobby,
I get annoying since I don't have a hobby,
Well, I like annoying you with meaningless talk,
Until you SCREAM at me, saying to take a walk,
Hi I'm Ashley but you can call me teen mom,
I got pregnant at 15 by a man named Tom,
But Tom left and now I'm broken and sad,
But if I didn't have sex with him I may've been glad,
How's it goin'? My name is William,
I'm a huge nerd who'll never say Carpe Diem,
With my pocket protector I am always right,
But if I get annoying you can beat me in a fight,
What's up bros, the name is Scott,
Now, I am your stereotypical jock,
I go to the games and get on your nerves,
But let's face it that’s what you deserve,
My name is Nick and I am a poet,
I try to make your problems hopeless,
I will be straying from the poetic script,
Excuse me while I take your mind on a trip.
Dear Alexis
Dear Alexis,
You are my baby,
The sound of silence,
But maybe, just maybe,
You are absent.
Tis why there's no room,
You may be Heaven-sent,
But without you, it looks gloom,
Dear Alexis,
I'm sorry for the pain,
I'm sorry it's not the same,
Abortion is a choice,
We used our opinion to voice,
Sexual tendencies is not anticipated,
We never even participated,
I'm sorry to do this though,
Even if you want to see you grow,
I want you, God Forbid,
I'm dazed and phased,
Forevermore you are my kid,
Your desire leaves me amazed,
Like you were never leaving,
Your abortion left me believing,
That you were right next to us.
But you were not.
I'm sorry Alexis.
Denial Den
I simply cannot deny,
The fact that I lie,
About my young age,
I'm 23; it'll never change,
The same as I was as a youth,
With wisdom attached to this suit,
To a funeral I must go,
Pay respects as I lay this photo,
Upon my friends casket where he's laid,
He was young too! Only 28!
Back in 'Nam he was a fighter,
It seemed like his future was
