    Dipole

    There is a place in space and time

    Where life transcends beyond divine

    And there exists a perfect rhyme

    In every breath of yours and mine;

    Where rhythm holds a flawless pace

    A glimpse into the heart of grace

    And every soul must solely chase

    Their other half in whole embrace.

    Natural Order

    Velvet ears stood taught against

    the tickling of the wind;

    an emerald sea swayed with relief

    under the savannah’s oppressive heat;

    A glimpse of tan and yellow

    tore through waving grasses;

    it was far too late to run,

    the lion was ready to pounce.

    Shore of Dirt and Roots

    I watch the advancing curtain of sunlight

    slowly bathe a sea of grass

    with a new dawn;

    A gentle breeze caresses

    each blade

    into calming waves

    of sluggish resistance.

    Soft sunlight laps upon my face

    And I wonder:

    How long has the sun washed

    a new day

    onto this shore of dirt and roots?

    How long will it do so after

    I lie beneath the loam?

    The Seeds of Envy

    Standing tall within a jealous field

    Oh what colors I’ve revealed!

    These blades abound

    in seething green,

    a lust the likes I’ve never seen.

    They gather close to grasp and feel

    a shade to which they’d praise and
