Ella is an avid reader of romance stories. And if an author combines romance and humor in her books, Ella will scrounge the internet and buy everything they've ever written. However, sometimes when time is tight, Ella wants to read a good romance without all the frew frew fluff. And for God sakes, please no details about the foods they're cooking, eating, or looking at, which only makes Ella so hungry she has to stop reading to grab a snack. That's why Ella's novellas are short sweet lesbian interactions, they get to the point, combine romance with a dash of humor, some action, maybe adventure, and of course, Ella's favorite; she always get the girl!

    ***

Dr. Lainey Daniels is off to roam the Wild-Wild-West. Well not actually roam, she’ll be working, and if all goes well maybe even find love. Once she finds her true love, she’ll buy a huge ranch with horses to breed, cows to milk, she’ll have barn cats, dogs that will round up the cattle, chickens that lay brown eggs, and, and…any other animal that her heart desires, and without a doubt, in Lainey’s mind, she’ll live happily ever after.

Hey, a girl can dream, and yes Lainey is well aware that she suffers from the Southern Cinderella Syndrome, well with a bit of a Wild West twist, because she doesn’t want a tall dark cowboy, she fixin’ to rope herself a sassy little cowgirl!

Although Lainey is an educated woman, she was born and raised in the south, Lake Charles, Louisiana, to be exact, so the only things she knows about the west is what she’s seen on TV.

Oh yeah, Lainey knows that in the real world cowboys and Indians do not roam the purple snow capped mountains and ride beautiful horses on the dusty plains anymore, but shoot, it would be really cool if they did.

Not that she wanted scalped, mind you, or that she would ever shoot anyone…and thinking about it, she’d better mind her words, because it’s not even politically correct to say Indian anymore.

Anyway, Lainey is so excited to go out to Colorado, for three whole months to help the local veterinarian, she bought everything ‘cowgirl’ she could find…right down to some kick ass pointy toed boots.

The only draw back about going west is her personal life, which is basically nil at this point, hence why she’s utterly available to hit the trail…but in Lake Charles she is totally in the closet, and Lainey prays that in the town of Velvet Canyon, they’re a bit more liberal than in the deep south.

Sheesh, it’s not like she could ask Dr. Higgins if they would burn her at the stake if they found out she is a (shhhh) lesbian. Okay, that is just too scary to even think about. Oh, please
