    What is Kale?

    Kale is a distinctive kind of cabbage that produces curled leaves. These loosely formed grasses do not develop a head, and the leaves of this plant are very dissimilar to that of other cabbage plants. Thus, kale is very distinguishable for its appearance (as well as its health benefits). It has ruffled leaves, and its flavour is a bit bitter. Don't fret, though. The bitterness goes away once it is washed, cooked, and used with other younger kale leaves.
