About this ebook
This book was written to help people with the many choices they have to make in life. Based on my learning, my mistakes, my correct choices, and my education as well as work experience, I have put together my thoughts on how to deal with many of the challenges people face in life. I talk about many topics that I feel are important for a person to succeed in life. As a kid, I always heard about the importance of education, but I did not hear enough about other areas of life that are just as important. This book can be used as a guide to help others focus on important aspects in order to become successful in life.

First and foremost, I thank God for all his blessings.
Secondly, I thank my parents for nurturing my mind & spirit in the right direction and giving me the love and support I needed.
Lastly, I dedicate this book to my children. The love I have for them inspired me to write this book and to pass on the wisdom I have learned to others while on this difficult journey we call life.

CHAPTER 1:
TREAT OTHERS AS
YOU DESIRE TO BE TREATED
GOOD NEIGHBOR
There are two laws in the bible that sum up all the laws in the bible. 1) Love God with all of your heart and soul and 2) Treat others as you desire to be treated. I started this book off with this chapter, because I believe in GOD and if He is not a priority and guidance in your life, then you can do everything else right in life, but when you meet your maker still have failed the ultimate test of LOVE. There are many religions in the world and although I am a believer in the teaching of Jesus Christ, I also respect other religions, because they all teach us to love one another, although some follows of religion stir up evil and give religion a bad name. In my studies of Jewish, Christian and Muslim religions I find that they all claim Abraham as their father. If Abraham believed in one GOD and was not divided, then why do we see all of this division amongst the different religions today? Even in the Christian religion there are so many denominations that divide us, but yet Jesus was not divided. In my opinion, the devil has entered religion and has caused man to utilize evilness within religion, thus making it hard for one to tell the difference between who is a true believer or a false believer in GOD.
Although, I don’t have all the answers as it pertains to religion, one thing is very clear to me, if we all would treat others like we desired to be treated this world would be a better place. The bible says you will reap what you sow, meaning when you do bad things to people it will come back around to you and when you do good things it will come back to you as well. Some people call that karma. It makes a lot of sense to me. If you are doing good, then people want to return this favor to you and if you are treating people bad, they will also want to return that favor.
Now, sometimes bad things just happen to good people and I think it is because in this world there is free will leading us to make our own choices, between good
and evil
. If we choose evil
we will let that be our master and if we choose good
we will be a slave to goodness. It is this free will of evil people that impact good people and that is allowed to happen, because of the presence of sin in the world. Inside of people, there has been a battle of good
and evil
since the beginning of time. All we can do is have faith in God and live our life with goodness and hope that this goodness rubs off on others, making this world a better place and when we meet our maker he will be pleased with the life we have led.
PEER PRESSURE
It is important for kids, teenagers, as well as adults to find good role models to hang around, since people tend to be influenced by their peers. All throughout life, people will try to influence you and try to make you do what they want you to do, either by force or persuasion. Therefore, if you are susceptible to being persuaded then you might as well be
