About this ebook
Jake was lying on a bunk bed and the cell was in total darkness.
He had no idea of the time he did not know if it was night or day.
Then he heard the lock on the outer door and he knew that they were coming for him. Then the lock on his cell door started to turn and he was blinded when someone turned on his cell light.
Two men dressed like the others in black uniforms were standing at the door.
The nearer of the two said. ‘Get on your feet pig.’
Jake took his time and stood up.
The German said. ‘Oh so you take your time, well when we get into the assembly hall we too shall take our time, you will pray for us to stop.’
Jake looked him in the Eye and said. ‘I will never give in to you.’
The second German had been tying Jake’s hands behind his back while the first German had been talking to him.
Then they took Jake out of the cell and into the passage and took him to the large assembly room.
When Jake saw the room it was full to bursting point he thought that there must have been fifty people in the room male and female.
They took Jake to a small platform that was in the center of the room.
The platform was raised up about a foot above the floor and on the platform there was a chair, the chair had leather straps on the arms and legs.
Jake started to fear the worst but he had decided not to let them see that he was afraid.
They sat Jake down then the two Germans one on each side strapped Jake to the chair.
Then the older of the two started to undo the buttons on Jake’s shirt and then he bared Jake’s chest.
Bernhard Huber came forward and said. ‘Will you tell me your name and why you were spying on us, if you tell us now and I will end it quick with a bullet to the head?’
Jake said nothing because he knew that the Germans would kill him anyway because they could not let him go now.
Huber said. ‘Well I tried to be nice to you, but well you brought what we will do to you on your own back.’
Then the crowd parted and a very tall man dressed all in black came forward Jake could see that the man had a hood over his face but Jake could see his mouth and his eyes.
The mouth had a big smile on it, and the eyes gave Jake a bad feeling because these eyes were the eyes of a madman.
The hooded man had a candle in his hand he held it out in front of Jake’s eyes then with his other hand he held up a match.
He said in broken English. ‘You tell now yes.’
Jake said nothing then the hooded man struck the match on the arm of the chair and lit up the candle.
He started to bring the candle towards Jake’s chest.
Jake took a deep breath of air and blew the candle out.
The hooded man just let go with a backhand across Jake’s face.
Then he said. ‘No matter I have more light and he brought another match from his pocket and lit the candle again.
And again Jake blew it out.
The hooded man hit Jake again this time Jake’s lips spurted out blood.
Then an officer standing besides Huber said. ‘Here take this he won’t blow this out. It was a large cigar that he had been smoking.
The smirk was back on the hooded mans face.
The hooded man now brought the cigar on to Jake’s chest.
Jake looked him straight in the eyes and said. ‘Why do you wear a hood, are you frightened to look me in the face.’

Chapter 1
THE THIRD REICH
IN BRAZIL
Mr Jablonsky was sitting in his office in the building named The War Crimes Buildings.
His secretary knocked on his door and went in.
She approached his desk and said. ‘There’s a man here Mr Jablonsky and he has come to report on a Nazi camp that he has come across.’
‘Ok Miss Jobson we had better hear what he has to say, show him in but tell him that my time is short and that I have to attend a meeting.’
‘Yes Sir.’
She went back into the outer office then half a minute later walked back into the office and said. ‘This is Mr Jacob Ivans.’
Mr Jablonsky stood up and offered his hand, which the young man took.
Then Mr Jablonsky said. ‘Right well my secretary tells me that you have something to report.’
‘Yes Sir just two weeks ago I was on a trek with a group of students in the jungles of Brazil.
There was twenty in our party one day three of us lost our way when we had stopped to look at an unusual tree, there was me and another young man and a girl.
Well we had been lost for a good two hours when we came to a river so we decided to follow the river upstream. Then after about an hour’s walking I took my hat off. It was then that I saw the clearing through the thick jungle. And in the centre of this clearing stood a very large what looked like a mansion house, and dotted all about the clearing were a number of small wooden houses, the clearing had lots of native people walking about,
We approached the large house we were thinking that maybe a European say maybe a Spaniard. Or a Frenchman might be living there or someone that could help us. Well we did not need to knock as we approached the steps of the house a young man came out dressed in a light green uniform like garment. But what struck me was the look of the man himself, his hair was almost white and his eyes were a bright light blue in colour he looked very strange, well the man with me and the girl said. ‘Hello do you speak English.’
The young man just stood there looking at us but most of the time he was looking at the girl his eyes at the end never left her.
Then he said. ‘Yes I speak English but I think you English call it what I say Pigeon English no, now you tell me what are you doing out here in the middle of the jungle.’
‘We are here with a group of people looking for plants and to document all we find, but we got split up from the main group and well we got lost.’
‘Oh those people I know who they are but they keep well away from my ground. You must be ten miles away from your group. I can’t help you get back to your group but if you stay the night then I have a small boat that will take you down the river tomorrow to a river town called Hirmil. From there you can take a bus or jump on a train which will take you back to civilisation.’
Well we had no other way but to accept his offer,
He told one of his native servants to take us upstairs and to show us our rooms for the night.
He then said that it was now four o’clock and if we come down at six an evening meal would be waiting for us.
This we did and when we walked into the large dining room we all got a shock.
In the dinning room there was an enormous table, the table would sit about twenty people at one sitting and it was polished so much you could see your face in it.
And the floor was covered in ceramic tiles these too were very clean.
Our host was sitting at the head of the table he was dressed all in black and there was some kind of rank on his lapels, he begged us to sit down and then he picked up a small rubber hammer and struck a small gong. Almost at once two servants also in black were immaculately dressed came into the room, our host said.
‘Has Herr Huber come back yet Ingo?’
‘Yes Sir he said he would be down in five minutes.’
‘Did you tell Herr Huber that we had guests staying.’
‘Yes Sir.’
After about five minutes a very tall also white haired young man came into the room.
Our host stood up and said Herr Huber these young people got lost and stumbled into our domain they are from the survey people.’
‘Hello Adolph I’m glad to see you offered our hospitality.’
Well Mr Jablonsky the evening went on until it was time for bed.
I went to my room and the room was very well furnished which must have taken a lot of effort to get the house up to these standards in the middle of a jungle. Well I went to my bed but I could not sleep there was something strange about this place I got up and walked to the window and I just stood there for about an hour with a cool breeze blowing through the window. The compound still had lights on but beyond that the jungle was in pitch darkness,
Then I saw a light come on about fifty yards outside the clearing it was in the jungle. It was quite a big light and at first I could not make out what it was I went to my door and tried to open it but I found the door locked on the outside. This started me wondering why I was locked in my room there was something about this place that was not right. I went back to the window and looked out then I saw on the right side of the window a very thick branch of ivory was growing I put my hands on it and gave it a tug to see if it would hold my weight. I found that it would and I climbed down to the ground below. Then I don’t know why but I went towards the light out in the jungle,
As I neared the light I was thinking that all was not right here then when I got to the building I could see where the light was coming from. It was coming from about halfway along the side of the building. I crept towards the light then when I was just two feet away I started to go forward slowly. I edged myself forward until I could see into the building, and what I saw made me step backwards two or three steps. Then I returned to the wall with the plant and I climbed up to my bedroom.
Then Mr Jablonsky the first thing I saw was a very large picture of Adolph Hitler and on each side of the picture was two old flags of the Nazi party.
And in the center of the room stood a large table and sat around the table were a dozen men all dressed in the same uniform that their host had on.
The next morning when I went to my door I found it unlocked. I went to the door next to mine and knocked William came out. I made the sign with my fingers to my lips to tell him not to make a sound, and then we moved on to the next door
