Little Book, Big Prayers - Christine Brooks Martin

    INTRODUCTION

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. --Proverbs 19:21

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; --Isaiah 11:2

God is concerned about your soul and your spirit. Did you know that He is concerned about your career and your finances as well? They are the source of your seed. Your seed is what you do with your time, how you utilize your talents, how you serve others, and what you do with your money or other valuable resources. There are challenges, trials, and tribulations that confront us everyday. But God has addressed each and everyone of them in His word. He does not intend for you to struggle continuously.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper

and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.--3John 1:2

God has a purpose and a plan for your life. That includes what you do with your life and the resources that are necessary to sustain you. Praying to receive your portion of the covenant blessings of God is available to everyone of His sons and daughters. Through the enabling assistance of the Holy Spirit, He teaches you how to be successful and shift out of the desolate places you may be in right now.

If you are in a place that lacks prayer or communion between you and God, then you are living without direction. Is the expectation of good things absent from your life? Is your everyday mundane or exasperating? Is a hopeless present and future all you see? Well, when you choose to cooperate with the plan of God by declaring the word of God over your life, over your career, over your finances, then you won't have time to focus on past failures, current struggles, or a hopeless future.

Prayer helps you change your thinking and your value system. Your value system is what you believe about yourself and others, and what you believe about God. Prayer gives you access to kingdom blessings so you can think/believe, act and speak differently. Wouldn't you prefer to associate with people who are walking in their God-given purpose and destiny? You too can walk in what has been established for your life--the plan and purpose of God. And it is possible for you to become a person who can encourage, inspire, motivate, and mentor others.

Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them,

that ye may prosper in all that ye do. --Deuteronomy 29:9

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. --Joshua 1:7

Your words, thoughts/beliefs and actions dictate to your future. The scriptures say:

You will eat the fruit of your lips. -- Your words.

So as a man man thinketh in his heart, so is he. -- Your thoughts/beliefs

You shall reap what you sow. -- Your actions.

This book will help you exercise your faith to experience the transforming power of God over your circumstances. Declare the scripture-based affirmations that God is the Lord, He is your source, and you choose His will for your life. Gain more faith in His promises of protection, provision, healing and deliverance. Through prayer you have power to change what you think, say and do in any circumstance. God wants you to experience spiritual growth and make better decisions about your career, your finances and your life.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.--Psalm 1:3

    PRAYERS FOR CAREER & FINANCES

    Abundance & Increase

Matthew 6:33 -- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Psalm 35:27 -- Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

O Lord, I desire to please you by being fruitful in all my labors as I increase in the knowledge of you. I do not fear because you are my shield and exceeding great reward. Satisfy me with your fatness and goodness. My latter end is greater than my beginnings because you give me rain in due season. My life demonstrates increase and the fruit of your Spirit. My joy in the Lord is increased and I rejoice in the Holy One of Israel through meekness. Thank you for rebuking the devourer so that nothing that pertains to me is destroyed or lost before its time. I am called blessed and a delightsome land. You supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
