About this ebook

How do we know that God exists? First of all, we don't know without faith. If you are trying to believe in God with your head, you will be very confused. Scientists have to see something in order to believe in it. They have to take things apart in order to believe. They only believe with their heads. We must not think with our heads when it comes to our Father. If we do, we ask too many questions, which leads to confusion. Questions are all right if they are the right questions. And no one has the answer to every question. Except God.
We must feel with our hearts and our spirits. If we feel with our hearts, we will know without a doubt that our Father is real. And if we allow our spirit to feel, it will tell us that God is real. Our spirit already knows that our Father exists. All we have to do is listen.
This book answers several questions that non-Christians and/or new Christians frequently have concerning Christian beliefs. Such questions as "Who Am I;" "What is My Purpose;" "How Do I Know I'm Saved;" "What is the Holy Trinity." These and many more questions are answered in easy to understand conversational language.

Sherry Hall

Sherry Hall recently asked a friend. "Have you ever heard that song 'Amazing Grace?' That song pretty well describes me -- 'I once was lost and now am found'."Growing up in Oklahoma and Kansas, Sherry had a challenging childhood being shuttled from one parent to the other and became the proverbial rebellious teenager. Fortunately she had been schooled in Christian beliefs and found her way back to God and His amazing grace. Reading the Bible all the way through and studying it over the years, lead her to be able to answer the questions found in this book. Now as a mother and grandmother she is reaching out to those who may be searching for answers to life and to an understanding of the grace that God offers to each of us. "I believe God led me to write the “Q & A on Christianity” book because of all of my prayers and concerns over the many lost souls in this world. If this book can reach them it will mean more saved souls for God. And that is our assignment given to us by Jesus – to lead people to God."Sherry also enjoys singing, and is invited quite often to sing solos at local churches. She has made several CDs of her singing for gifts to friends and relatives.

    Acknowledgements

I want to thank my son, Damien, for teaching me to use the laptop. Special thanks goes to my Aunt Foye, who did all the research, and my pastor, Doug Wodtka, who took the time to guide me through. I would also like to thank all of those who find this book helpful.

    Preface

There are hundreds of questions people ask everyday concerning their place with God. I have put together some of the questions I had asked, and have been asked of me. The answers I have given are based on the answers given in the Holy Bible. I have taken the complex answers in the Bible and made them easier to understand.

I hope this book is helpful to you.

    Who Am I

Many times I have heard this question. In truth, I had asked myself this question over and over as I grew up. Sure, I knew my name, and that I was my parents child, but who was I deep down inside. Finally, after years of confusion and doubt, the answer became quite clear. The answer was easier than the question --- believe it or not.

So, who was I, and who am I now? A child of God. Yes, you read that right, and it is very simple. We are all children of God, and have been since the moment of our conception. Isaiah 44:2 says, I am your creator. You were in my care even before you were born. Before we were born. Think of it. Amazing, isn't it? To know that God cared for us while we were still in our mother's womb.

The Holy Spirit also lets us know that we are God's children. In Romans 8:16, the Bible tells us, The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. If we listen to the Holy Spirit we will know that this is true. We are not just a race of people that God created. We are, and always will be His children, and we were created in His image. In Genesis 1:27 it says this: So God created man in His own image, male and female He created them.

How wonderful to know that we were created by God in His own image. To know that we are His children. To know that He wanted us so much that He took the time to create us. We were created to be loved by --- and to love God. He wanted children who would love Him as much as He loves us.

Now, remember, He gave us free will to choose for ourselves. But, what good child would turn his/her back on such a loving father? None would!

So, if anyone asks you who you think you are ---answer truthfully. You are a child of God!

How Do I Talk To God

Here is a question that has been answered over and over again with a simple response: Prayer. But, most people believe they don't know how to pray. They hear preachers in prayer using an English language that somehow does not seem like English. Or they hear prayers that have been written down and remembered. Not everyone can remember short or long prayers that have been written down.

God does not expect you to repeat memorized prayers. And He does not expect you to sound like a preacher. What God does expect is for you to speak to Him from your heart. Go to Him in private, and don't be afraid to tell Him how you feel. Read Matthew 6:6. He already knows what you want --- He is just waiting for you to come to Him and tell Him with your heart. He wants to hear from His children. He wants to be a part of your life. He wants you to share all the good and bad things of your life. He wants to comfort you.

When you talk to God, just open your mouth and let the truth of your heart spill out. But, please, be respectful at all times. Remember, this is your Heavenly Father you are speaking to. Disrespectful prayers will not be met with good results. Our Father loves us, but demands love and respect from us. And well He should. As you already read, He is our Creator, and He loves us. He deserves our love. And with love comes respect. So when you pray (talk) to Him, talk to Him with love, and the respect will automatically follow.

Now, even though your Father wants to hear about your worries, your fears, and your troubles, He also likes to hear about the good things that make you happy, i.e.; future plans, a new job, a new family member, etc. He wants to hear about your accomplishments. He is interested in every aspect of your life.

Also, when you find you need His help, don't pray to
