Jose Rizal: The First Filipino Phenom

About this ebook
It is the thesis of this book that if one want a good, if not necessarily perfect, embodiment of the term ‘phenom’ (and even ‘prodigy’), then Jose Rizal is an ideal choice.
This book follows the author’s tradition of ‘wackily’ presenting history by incorporating new researches, clarifying some controversies and discrepancies, and including cool analyses, comments, and applications.
Among other things, this writing proves that even before other great Filipinos (like Manny Pacquiao, Efren Reyes, Paeng Nepomuceno, etc.) emerged in the scene, the Philippine national hero had already exhibited his superb multi-dimensional talents, skills, and abilities and the world (not only the Philippines) had witnessed it. This book written in partnership with OurHappySchool.com and Philippine-Guide.com expounds Jose Rizal’s phenomenal accomplishments and legacies.

BIBLIOGRAPHY
Preface
HONESTLY, I WANTED (and still want) to title this book Jose Rizal: The First Filipino Phenom and Prodigy.
With a heavy heart, I just consented to its current shorter title after some people from OurHappySchool.com and Philippine-Guide.com (my partners in producing it) had me realized that some formatting had been done and the cover design had already been made after my almost inexhaustible suggestions.
But since I’m this book’s author who is in control of the book content (though admittedly not all the time), I just decided to justify here my ‘dissenting opinion’ concerning the matter (my sincere apology to ‘Preface’). Without fanatically patronizing the considered Philippine national hero, I personally believe that he was both a ‘phenom’ and a ‘prodigy.’
‘Prodigy’ is defined as someone with unusually outstanding talent or somebody who exhibits a remarkable skill and capability at an early age. A person is considered a prodigy, for instance, if he learns complex things exceptionally fast or if he shows extraordinarily marvelous talent.
‘Phenom,’ on the other hand, refers to something or someone notable. The adjective ‘phenomenal,’ which is related to it, means remarkably magnificent or impressive. A person is deemed a ‘phenom’ if he notably displays unusually superior or supreme trait and quality. (The seemingly redundant usages of adverbs and adjectives are intentional.)
As you can see, the two terms (‘phenom’ and
