About this ebook

Everyone enjoys peace and tranquility, and Victor Bayne is no exception. He goes to great lengths to maintain a harmonious home with his partner, Jacob. Although the cannery is huge, it’s grown difficult to avoid the elephant in the room...the elephant with the letters FPMP scrawled on its hide.

Once Jacob surrendered his PsyCop badge, he infiltrated the Federal Psychic Monitoring Program. In his typical restrained fashion, he hasn’t been sharing much about what he actually does behind its vigilantly guarded doors. And true to form, Vic hasn’t asked. In fact, he would prefer not to think about the FPMP at all, since he’s owed Director Dreyfuss an exorcism since their private flight to PsyTrain.

While Vic has successfully avoided FPMP entanglement for several months, now his debt has finally come due.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Vic and Jacob are totally settled and happy in their relationship together. We got no angst or friction between the two, which was nice. The friction came with their roommate, Lisa, and the head of the FPMP, Con, and with solving some of the mysteries that occurred in the last book. Vic is finally coming to believe everything he always thought might not be true, and this sets things up nicely for a new direction in the series, a direction I am looking forward to taking with our Vic and Jacob.

For those like me with a bad memory, it would probably be a very good idea to at least reread the last book or two, because they play quite heavily into this book. I wish I had taken the time to reread myself, but I plan to go through the whole series soon.

5 stars. Oh yes, this book is just as good (if not better) than the rest of the series. Love Vic and Jacob together. Here's hoping the author continues with this series!

This was a re-read for me in one of my absolutely favorite series (PsyCop). In this entry Victor pays in his favor to the FPMP, and gets to check out Jacob's new job in the process. However, the act of exorcising a few repeaters in Con Dreyfuss' office becomes complicated when a sentient ghost with a grudge and a predatory interest in Vic returns. It is fun re-reading these stories. It gives me a chance (no pun intended LOL) to see how the events here really do affect what I now know goes on in the future stories. Although this series kind of starts off as a erotic m/m romance series, it certainly grows into its own as a bonafide paranormal ghost story series as it goes along. As much as I love the romance between Vic and Jacob, I really enjoy the storyline as well. It is a ghost story without being too gross or scary for me to enjoy. I so very highly recommend this series!!

I truly love this series. It really stands out from most that I've read. I like how it deals with so many supernatural subjects and how the lead is always so laid back about most of it. I'm attracted to his personality.

I definitely recommend this book, but it isn't as exceptional as some of the others in the series in my opinion. I found it very interesting, but it was missing some little extra spark for me (still better than many of the books out there for sure).
