Mother of eight children and thirteen grandchildren. I have a degree in early childhood education. I have been working with kids my entire life and am the oldest of a family of twelve. I have been writing poems since I was a little girl. This work is an extension of my life experience as a mother and teacher, exhorter and encourager. It is also a legacy to be passed on to my children. I give thanks to God for the gifting and talent he has given me. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing and composing this book.

Stories Untold
Stories untold, stories of life, each life as a book
With a story to write,
Verses unfolded etched by memories page,
Secrets recorded that touch and engage.
Heartening or delightful, arduous or cruel,
They evoke our emotions tepid or cool.
Nuances of life, vignettes of day,
Remembered and told in our own special way.
Journey of tomorrows or looking back over time,
The many chapters of our stories entwine,
Children, husbands, wives, moms and dads,
Special occasions and celebrations we have,
Cherished and kept in the ways that we do,
I’ll tell you a story, if you’ll tell one too!

About Friendship A Reflection
Friendship doesn’t always start out because of attraction. Sometimes it’s not that way at all. Perhaps we find ourselves noticing all the unusual ways about a person and carefully adjusting ourselves to what we are experiencing. This exploration into a new personality is like turning over the many sided angles of a rock to examine its unique shape or texture. Each experience of you begins to draw me in a little closer, a little more than before. Perhaps I seem a little cautious at first, but after a while I am right there with you. I’ve just leapt into the water; little by little. I was getting used to you, not rejecting you; but allowing all the nuances of you that are so different from me, to become a part of us! Aren’t we somewhat all the same on the inside? The joy of friendship of course is that we can always make space to find room in our hearts for just one more friend.
Thanksgiving Letter to a Friend
For all you do for me how can I fail to say
How I appreciate you each and every day,
You extend yourself in your patience and your time,
I just need to say it more even though
I don’t say it all the time!
But mostly you care for me and what’s inside my heart,
Our friendship has been a learning and I’m thankful for your part.
I’m grateful we grew to know each other and now I love you a whole lot.
So here’s my blip of a letter.
Bless our friendship Lord, may it grow better and better.
In acknowledgement to Deborah Jean Casto
For all of your painstaking time and attention in helping me prepare my manuscript.
I am forever grateful and extend my deepest appreciation and blessings.

Bridegroom Song
At the sound of the trumpet, He’ll draw nigh
And his people who are ready will know why…
As the nations look to see his face,
So his people will gather in one place.
His radiant splendor will over take the air
The earth’s foundations shall shake in holy fear...
In one accord together we’ll arise
To meet our heavenly bridegroom in the skies
Light your lamps trim the wick and have fresh oil,
For while two are working one will leave this earthly toil,
For the wise ones will be ready when he calls...
Sow the seeds, glean and harvest, one and all.
At the sound of the trumpet we’ll arise...
For the bridegroom has been longing for his bride,
~For the bridegroom has been longing for his bride,
~has been longing
~has been longing
~for his bride.

The Bridegroom Calleth
The bridegroom calleth,
He seeks her at break of day,
Though morning dawneth
In slumber she lay.
He studies her in the shadows
Motionless as she sleeps,
Gently he touches her
Caressing her cheek.
He utters just a whisper
As he breathes into her ear,
Silently he murmurs,
I love you, my dear.
His hands enfold her face,
As tenderly they embrace ~
Earnestly seeking a kiss to place ~
Longingly she greets him,
Lips touch, part and linger,
Caressing with tenderness each finger.
Thou art fairer than any other,
I delight my heart in thee.
Searching her every feature
Each artful touch their teacher.
How fittingly, how tender ~
Each wave of surrender ~
The dew of evening tide…
Unto dawn confides.
The bride calleth to her bridegroom
In trembling tones,
Thou art my troth in life alone.
To you I pledge, this gift I give,
Spare not its yielding unto death, so we live.
O solemn vow ~
O covenant most chaste ~
Impassioned fire, unfolding grace,
Unto thee only, I seek your face.
Thy trusting hand upon my heart,
Promise thou not forsake thy part.
The bridegroom cometh,
She awaits him in splendor.
He beckons her,
With words most tender.

The Potter’s Field
You are the Potter, I am the clay
Mold me & fashion me, in the most intimate way
Take all of my heart and all that it holds
Rub into its crevices the oil of Your Soul
I am but a fragile wisp of wind
Searching to find a refuge within
Oh Song of my Spirit
The life of Your Son
More precious than any music I’ve ever sung
Drift with me into the places I’ve imagined
That I may hear the whisper of heaven
The breath of Your voice
Calling out from eternity
Speak to me of vision
I have long been yearning
Tender Vine on whose branches I abide
You are the Vinedresser
The true Wine and the Bride
Cultivate & prune every tender branch & root
Cause my desires to bear much fruit
For without such life & intimate trust
I would wither, my life be lost
You have loved me & called me Your own
I ask in Your name, seeking Your throne
Let me see what You see
And do as You have done
Precious Jesus, most Holy One
Come to me as only You can
I want to know Your presence Son of Man
Like me in all ways except sin
Fill me a new with fervent passion
