    Introduction

We’ve been told for generations to eat our fruits and vegetables, because they are good for us. What we normally aren’t told as children however is how items in our body such as DNA for example are hurt, free radicals damage our bodies, etc. We’re also not told how good for us plants and fruit actually are, including on the labels of the food we buy.

Part of the reason that labels do not include what their nutritional properties do, is because of potential litigation. We all know the benefits of protein, in that it aids in muscle maintenance as well as calcium which helps us build strong bones. We’ve been told for years that fish is brain food, but rarely will you ever see a label saying that the blueberry compound it contains could fight cancer!

Any conspiracy theorist will tell you the reason the true and amazing powers of plants (particularly fruits and vegetables) is because the pharmaceutical industry will lose too much money. That could be true, however this sentence contains a keyword that also relates to why
