About this ebook

In this day and age, it can be hard to find things to keep our faith strong. We’re so distracted by the minor things in life, television, money, work, we forget to focus on the major things, like our spiritual wellbeing.

God for Today helps you overcome that problem. It relates God with things in our everyday lives, like credit cards, trees, and mail. These simple, overlooked things become reminders of God’s presence in our lives. In just a handful of minutes, items like these can become powerful tokens of our connection to God.

This Christian book is intended to be used as a daily devotional, so you can receive the reminder multiple times. It contains twenty days of ways to relate the life we have, to the God that has given us that life. God for Today is a very practical, non-religious book that will teach you to see God in the smallest things in your everyday life.

As a Christian, I seldom read Christian books. I find them patronising, pretentious, and down-right preachy.

This book isn't like that. It's designed to be read as a daily devotional over twenty days, which is how I read it. Each day, it talks about one specific aspect of life, from Cell Phones to Garbage, and gives a very brief thought about how and why that thing can help us to focus on Christ, or remind us of him.

The days' readings are clear and concise, and although I couldn't identify with them all (It is a bit American-centric), I could easily understand the point that the author was trying to make with each of them!

Do you tend to forget God’s presence in your life as you are busy with day-to-day responsibilities and activities? You have probably heard that God is everywhere and in everything. But have you figured out how that relates to your daily life?

Common, everyday items, activities, and environment can remind us that Jesus is not just a Sunday morning Savior at church, but He is a God that walks with us every day.

God for Today is about finding God daily in everyday things. How can a cell phone, a credit card, or laundry be reminders of the God of our universe? It will be obvious and easy once you’ve read this book.

God is real. God is daily. He’s in the big things and the little things in our life. He wants your relationship and experience with Him to grow as you see Him in the practical things of your day-to-day life.

The 20 items talked about in the book are only the beginning. The fun can continue as you find other everyday things and figure out how you can relate them to who God is or what He has done.

May you be blessed with a gazillion reminders of God and His presence in your life today and all the days of your life.
