About this ebook

In a world that changes moment by moment where wrong is pronounced right and right is pronounced wrong. One thing stands true and that is the Word of God. He does not change nor does He need to change for us the mere products of His creation. He gives us opportunity to honor Him as His children. It seems in this day and age we as His church fail to do this. He warns over and over as He did for the children of Israel in the wilderness. The Book of Jude also gives us warning. Read and see where you fit in with His warnings and as His child ask yourself if you seek to know and honor Him.

    The Warning

I sat down that cold grey winter morning to spend some time with my Savior in the Word of God. Snowflakes had begun to fall on the frozen ground here in the West Virginia hills. I was safe and warm in my easy chair. My coffee mug was steaming hot. The house was quiet and my little dog had curled himself up by my feet. I had no particular reading plan for that day so I began to read a book that I do not read that often. I turned to the Book of Jude and began to read. What I read began to frighten me as the words began to leap out at me. May I share my thoughts with you? May I share my fears with you about what we as Christians do not want to hear in this day and age. We seem to want a God who is all love and who gives no consequences for the way we live our lives. Is this really the God of the Bible? Spend a few minutes with me in the Book of Jude. You of course do not have to agree with my thoughts or comments. As a matter of fact I pray that you will form your own thoughts and perceptions as we look at this book together.

So here we go. I will write out the verse and then share with you my thoughts about that verse. As you read and meditate with me examine your own heart in front of your Savior as we all must do. For we shall all stand before Him to give an account of our lives.

Jude the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James to them that are sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called. It did not take me very long to begin to question myself when I read these words. As a matter of fact I only read the first three words when I began to ask myself what is a servant. I quickly discovered that a servant is one who is devoted to another to the disregard of one’s own interests. Can I say that I am a servant of Jesus (Jehovah is salvation)
