Napoleon Bonaparte is eighteen years old, a lieutenant in King Louis the Sixteenth’s Royal Artillery, but has never known the charms of a woman. In one of his notebooks, Napoleon describes how he remedies the situation. This short story (2500 words), based on Napoleon's description of his encounter with a young woman at the Palais-Royal, is not suitable for younger readers.

Jeff Warren was born in Devon in the United Kingdom. He studied chemistry at Imperial College, London, and taught that and other subjects to scientists from hospital pathology and biomedical research laboratories. He then changed career and became a technical editor, knowledge management specialist and software tester with a global computer software company, roles which had him traveling around the world.As well as writing action adventure fiction, Jeff enjoys reading, singing songs from the musicals and observing nature in the countryside.
