About this ebook
Though there have been many translated beings seen on earth, none seem to have captured the interest and intrigue of the Latter-day Saint people as have the Three Nephites. Through the scriptures and the words of General Authorities, this well-documented and easy-to-read book provides a wealth of historical information about translated beings---information that is finally brought together under one cover.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The author explains the concept of translated beings in Mormon legend. The three Nephites are translated beings who are believed to still be living, along with the beloved disciple, Elijah, and possibly Moses...and Cain, who is seen as a malevolent force to counter the good forces of the other translated being, one who tries to destroy people's souls while the others are bringing people to God. I read this as part of my interest in comparative religions. It is only marginally well written, with way too much repetition and a clear attempt to sound both scholarly and somewhat Biblical at the same time. It is a thin book and easy to read in a couple of nights, so even if you don't find anything to interest you, you won't feel like you've wasted a lot of hours. Interesting only to those who are committed to the worldview espoused here, or to those who are intensely interested in religious thought.
