    Introduction

At His departure, Jesus instructed the disciples to go to Jerusalem to await the promise of the Father. On the day of Pentecost, this promise was fulfilled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was given so that the work of Jesus Christ would continue on the earth. The Ministerial Endowments Series is designed to bring clarity to the gifts and ministries given to the Church. It is our prayer that believers will be enlightened and encouraged.

    In the publication:

The scriptures reveal that God has set ministries and gifts in the Church. The ministries of the apostle and the prophet provided the foundation for the Church. This ministry is important for the equipping, perfecting, and maturing of the saints.

In the pages of this book, we will discuss the ministry of the teacher in detail. A proper understanding of this ministry will help individuals recognize and appreciate its functionality in the Church.

The word teacher originates from the Greek word, didaskalos, which means an instructor. Some commentators have determined that Ephesians 4:11 should be read pastor-teacher instead of pastors and teachers. They assert that it is not one of the ministry offices. However, after God set apostles and prophets in the Church, He then placed teachers. This is so
