Indo-European Dictionary

About this ebook
This is a dictionary of the ancient language, Indo-European or Proto-Indo-European, originally written to translate German Names. These translations are just guesses by me and previous translators, without whom I could not have done this work.

Introduction
Important: Words and syllables are listed by Number only. These numbers replace consonants. The vowels are ignored. They are listed according to a modified version of the Soundex Code. Each consonant is given a number representing that type (1 through 6) of consonant. These are my translations as well as those found in books on Indo-European.
If your device has a search function, then search for the word or syllable. If not found, then you need to follow the instructions below to find the number and look it up by number.
Instructions for obtaining the number:
A, E, I, O, U, Y, and H are ignored. (If there are no consonants, look under 0 (zero)).
B, F, P, PF, V and W are 1.
C, Ck, G, J, K, Q, SC, X and Z are 2. (Note CK and SC are not 22, but 2).
D, DT and T are 3. (Note DT is not 33, but 3).
L is 4.
M and N are 5.
R is 6.
Double consonants are not two numbers, but one number. Example: mm is 5, not 55 and tt is 3, not 33.
In Indo-European the G or K is sometimes written GH, KH or Q. This is a hard K, as in the Scottish loch
.
Indo-European or Proto-Indo-European is a language that is theorized to have been spoken about 6000 to 8000 years before the present day somewhere in Europe or Anatolia. It is all guesswork. I have added some words that were deduced from translating names for German Names
(a book that I wrote).
