      Introduction

      Glory to you, Far Traveler ~ and Life everlasting!

      The following is a collection of poems having to do with all the various shades of love I’ve encountered so far in this journey we call life. Over time my appreciation and experience of love has deepened and I’ve written as I’ve gone along. There is a Love with a capital L that is available to us and it is beyond human but not beyond appreciation. Many of the poems touch upon this Love and our relationship with it. I chose to focus my Love on the archetype – the Goddess – for every woman I’ve known has the Goddess within her to different degrees – all tempered by their attitude towards life.

      I’ve come to appreciate that each person who reads my writings can and most likely will have a different interpretation of what a poem means. In the back of the book I have included a glossary of sorts. The glossary gives a short comment about the meaning or motivation for each poem. Some of the poems have a mystical direction to them, so if one or two don’t make sense try thinking in terms of angels and who they associate with. If you like your interpretation better, run with it. It is my hope that my writings will touch your heart and cause your soul to stir.

      Let us dance - as yet at a distance

      Two stars yearning

      Internal - eternal fires burning bright

      Exchanging streamers of caressing light

      Feeding the hunger of dreamers

      Illuminating this dark night

      Oh, that the cloud which is I

      Might coalesce before her - taking form

      Kneeling knight

      Eagle in flight

      Oh-so-hungry lion

      Innocent child of light

      Grinning jester

      Cautious tester of the waters

      Daughter of light

      Honest and open

      Gossamer robe slips from tender shoulder

      As she reaches out to touch

      Yea and the lion’s eyes glitter with delight

      Love comes tenderly

      Like butterflies on a westerly

      Breeze - she comes easily

      Caressing thy skin

      In the midst of the whirlwind

      Laughing and free of stain

      Love kisses thy lips to silence

      No need to explain

      My lover

      My life

      No need to explain

      Shuddering limbs

      Thundering
