About this ebook

This is a short story. The twin girls were dead. This was a fact. They faced each other, their heads held back by their long, dark brown hair twisted around the wire that secured their feet, mouths opened wide in a scream; a scream that was never heard. They whisper as they wait. Time has no meaning to the dead.

The twin girls were dead. This was a fact. The bodies were placed in a grotesque fashion with their arms and legs intertwined in an embrace held together with hanger wire. They faced each other, their heads held back by their long, dark brown hair twisted around the wire that secured their feet, mouths opened wide in a scream; a scream that was never heard. Flies swarmed around the gruesome artwork, landing deep inside the gaping maws. The openings gave an echoing effect to the buzzing as the flies continued passing through the wide parted lips. Propped up against the stairway banister with the remnants of bodily fluids gelling beneath them as the carpet soaked up the moisture, the pungent, sickening sweet smell of death filled the vacant house. A sudden breeze through a broken window brought the flies to a swarming cloud before settling back down.
