Let's go up to the top of the ridge, Blake Edwards suggested to Holly Ward. It'll be quieter there. He looked into her blue eyes and smiled mischievously.

The two teens were on a camping trip with their school class the month before graduation. They had gone to River Bend, Colorado. Holly picked up her field glasses. We`re going up to the ridge, Mr. Perrymont, she called to their sponsor. It's going to be a magnificent view.

Be careful and don't be gone too long, he said as they took off.

    We won't.

From the top of the ridge they could see the entire valley below them. The early afternoon sun glistened off the river that ran below them.

Holly took a deep breath and stretched. Fresh clean air, she said as she let it out slowly. Let's move here when we get out of school, she suggested putting the glasses to her eyes and scanning the area.

I didn't suggest coming up here for the view, Blake said taking the glasses from her.

Wait! she exclaimed, grabbing them back as something caught her eye.

What is it? he asked, frowning.

I'm not sure, she replied, slowly.

Let me see, he said, taking the glasses from her.

Right there, by that tree on the other side of the river, she directed, pointing to it.

It looks like a body, Blake said. Let's go check it out.

    ****

    Is she alive? Holly whispered.

They had reached the body. It was a young girl. She was no more than twenty. She wore a light blue jump suit with a wide white collar that was covered with silver glitter. Her high heeled, knee high boots, were also white with silver glitter.

Her hair was natural blond and was spread out on the ground above her head. She looked like she was asleep.

Blake reached out and shook her; she didn't move.

    Check her pulse, Holly suggested.

Blake put his fingers against her cool neck -- nothing.

She's dead, he said softly, rising to his feet.

I'll stay here, Holly offered. You go get Mr. Perrymont.

Okay, he said, turning to return to camp.

    Ohh…

What's wrong? he asked spinning around.

I didn't do it, Holly gulped pointing to the girl. She did.

Mmmm... The girl opened her eyes and squinted against the bright rays of the sun.

She's alive! Blake exclaimed rushing over to her.

    Are you okay? Holly asked.

The girl frowned, then slowly sat up. She squinted at them then blinked twice. Her eyes were a deep blue.

Yes, I think I'll be fine, she said standing up.

What happened to you? Holly asked.

She stared up at the sky, then looked around as if she'd lost something. I'm not sure, Holly, she said at last.

How did you....? Holly started to ask.

I don't know how I knew your names either. I've never met you before, she interrupted. She stopped, frowned, and looked at them. Have I?

No, you haven't, Blake said throwing a side glance at Holly.

She kept looking around like she'd lost something.

I'm sorry, she said. I haven't told you my name, she said. It's...it's...uh...Pearl.

Are you hungry? Holly asked. We're about ready to start the cook out.

Yes, that would be wonderful, she said smiling. Ahh, Mr. Perrymont is calling you now, she said.

The teenagers looked at each other; they didn't
