      INTRODUCTION

      If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are ready to be trained in how to live in the Kingdom of God and exercise the authority given to you. This isn’t an all encompassing book of Kingdom living because we are all ever learning of Him, but this will give you a jumpstart to walking in your Kingdom authority.

      The purpose of this guide is to give you a look at the benefits, power, and authority you receive when you come into the Kingdom and is intended for use in both group and individual studies. Religion will sometimes dictate rules and regulations that need to be followed before being able to exercise your authority in Jesus Christ, but God never limits his mandate on our lives. God wants you to be an effective tool in His hand, that He can shine through and use to bring Him glory (Isaiah 43:7).

      Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

      I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

      If you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, this is your opportunity. You may have tried to be the best that you could be and found that something is still missing. You may have turned to drugs, alcohol, promiscuous relationships, and many other things and found that they just won’t satisfy the longing of your soul. So I strongly urge you to turn to Jesus, not as a last resort, but as your ONLY hope. Pray this prayer with me…

      Lord Jesus! I am a sinner and I need a Savior. I invite you to come into my heart. Forgive me of all of my sins. Teach me how to live for you. Teach me how to live a life that is pleasing unto you. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. I am saved! As I take your hand, I vow to follow you all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!

      If you prayed this prayer and you sincerely have cried out to the Lord with a repentant heart, God has heard your prayer and you are saved! Now it’s time to be equipped and take these next steps to learn what being saved is all about.

      Welcome to the Kingdom!

      Each concept presented in this guide is based on the Word of God. The Bible is the infallible Word of God given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to mankind (2 Timothy 3:16). God used fallible men to pen the words of life for us. The Word of God is the only authority in all matters. This is the foundation that this guide was written.

      At the beginning of each chapter you will find the Kingdom Prayer Shield which has been included as a guideline for praying in agreement with the word concerning concepts discussed in each chapter. These are starter prayers that will ignite your dialogue with the Lord. Most important is to be led by the Holy Spirit in prayer as you commune with God.

      Included at the end of every chapter are Kingdom Confessions. These are scriptures that you should memorize and speak out loud over yourself as much as possible. Each of the confessions is scripturally based and written in first person so that you know they apply to you. You may even consider writing these confessions on note cards and posting them in your home. believe these confessions. These confessions will aid in renewing your mind and enable you to see yourself as God sees you.

      Finally, discussion questions are included that you can use in your time of reflection. These are good questions to use in both group and individual study time. The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth as you meditate on the Word of God and gain valuable revelation and insight during your study time. Blessings!

      PREFACE

      "Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come"

      Since I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and embarked on my own lifelong journey, God gifted me with the ability to teach and expound on the Word of God through presentations and various writings. My desire and hunger to see the saints of God fully equipped and walking in their destinies has prompted the writing of this Kingdom Authority Manual.

      Much of what I have learned and experienced definitely has been through the tutelage of the Holy Spirit. I have seen so many Christians living defeated lives. Yes, they have the basic gospel message down pat and it’s a beautiful thing, but what about the rest of the message - walking in power and authority and tapping into the abundant life that God promised we would have while we are here on the earth. I have seen the results of power, politics and legalism in the church and I have gained an express desire to promote the liberty in Jesus Christ and, of course, the responsibility that goes along with that.

      In addition, I want to see more effective witnesses being trained up; the army of the Lord moving forth in skill and wisdom defeating the enemy on every turn. Writing this book has been a challenge, but God wouldn’t let me stop writing. He kept pushing me and prompting me to release the message of the Kingdom. I want to see new believers grow to full maturity so that they will know up front what lies ahead and not have to spend 20 – 30 years learning by trial and error how to be all you can be in the army of the Lord.
