Barnie Day holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina. A frequent commentator on Virginia politics and public policy, his writings have appeared in periodicals throughout the Commonwealth. He served five years in the Virginia House of Delegates, and co-edited, with Becky Dale, Notes from the Sausage Factory (Brunswick Books, 403 pages, 2005). He and his wife, Debbie, live on a small, dirt-road farm in Meadows of Dan, Virginia.
