About this ebook
This is a group of limericks based upon Cities in Texas from Abilene to Yorktown. Some are fun, others serious, and some are just plain silly. If you like limericks, you'll enjoy reading about some of the most famous cities and some obscure hamlets throughout the Lone Star State.

Cities That Start With the Letter A
Abilene
There was a young lady of Abilene
Whose appetite was simple obscene
After eating a ton of jelly
She had an enormous belly
Now two sheets she can't get between.
Atkins
An establishment in the town of Atkins
All who enter and partake leave with grins
My stomach grew and grew
At Texas Pride Barbeque
I ate enough to feed two sets of twins.
Agua Dulce
There was a young man by the name of Hulse
Who came from the small town of Agua Dulce
There wasn't a lot to do
He and a friend or two
Decided to rob the local bank on an impulse
Alba
There was a young lady from Alba
Whom the guys admired from afar
Word got around
Each day at sundown
That she would sunbathe in the raw
Aledo
There was a young man from Aledo
Who loved to wear a tight blue Speedo
He dove from the high dive
He wished he weren't alive
He, all the girls did not desire to know.
Alice
There was an old spinster living in Alice
Who lived in a fabulous six story palace
She had so much money
It wasn't even funny
For she would pipe in the aurora borealis
Alief
There was a young lady that hailed from Alief
Now Nancy had quite an erroneous belief
She acted as though
Everyone should know
That she thought she was the commander in chief.
Alpine
There was an old fellow from Alpine
Who pleaded for all not to malign
I am sure you know
He had lots of dough
But insisted he lived below the poverty line.
Altair
There once was an old man from Altair
A storyteller; some said he was a liar
The time he was shot
Getting over it he did not
When he
