About this ebook

Church leaders often try but struggle to bring others into a shared ministry. The problem is that many approach this by creating programmes that are largely based upon an educational model. This often simply trains people for a task in church rather than liberating the ministry of the whole church. Using Ken Wilber’s insight that human experience shows itself in four distinct yet interrelated areas, this new holistic model not only educates people for behavioural change, but also strives for change in the interior life of the individual, the Christian community and the social community in which the person operates. This is a journey made within the context of Christian community, not a programme to buy into, but a compulsion of the Holy Spirit, releasing the gifts of all God’s people. It is a model which may be of value to church leaders and to anyone with a desire to liberate the ministry of the whole church.
